The fact that he is getting a little bit better every years suggests he is just co ming into his own.

Remember Yelich was on that Miami team too when Bonds was there and he was a 20HR/year guy before last season

seven guys on that team hit .300 at some point. and then bonds was fired. i think there was a bit of jealousy with mattingly as bonds got tons of attention and had a great relationship with the guys.
