Much of this success is due to understanding players vs players/team vs team.

It's not always beating the number and that nonsense.

        2006/2007 NBA Record: 254-214-8 / +50.41 Units

do you still bet professionally? at +50 units/year on just one sport, that's enough to not have to work doing anything else

Not gonna lie, I think it helps me with basketball. Certain nuisances of the game that you can pick up on. Can call me a failed ex-athlete and all that good stuff. No worries.

Just think it helps to understand what a team is doing. What they have weaknesses with, and how they matchup against other teams. Shit like that. I don’t think I’m some great player but I understand basketball since I’ve been immersed in it since I was 3.

I think handicapping professional scores is way over our heads. I met mario Chalmers once at a club in fort Lauderdale. He drunkingly told me the same thing, "were not much different ". I blasted him. He might have been right

A math nerd is more likely to get better at sports betting than an athlete.

Some players barely understand the game. That’s why old white guys are the coaches.

Obviously there’s more factors, but it’s a part of it. At least for me, that’s all. I’m not some basketball savant that sees these hidden indicators on how a game will play out. That’s not what I’m saying. Just helps me decide who may have an edge in certain matchups. Same as some math nerd finding an edge with numbers.
