We have all kinds of oil resources right here in the USA, but our government wants to depend on the Middle East for oil. Prices will most likely go only one way and that is north! Drill baby drill and lets see $2.50 a gallon again.

Obama wants us to pay 8 dollars a gallon so he can push his green agendas, his energy secretary has been quoted on this. Of course he retracted it after he realized high gas prices are obamas kryptonite and will be one of the reasons he will lose the election.

He is so retarded he actually thinks if he raises taxes on the 1% and doesn't cut spending that everything will be paid for.

HERE IS YOUR FACT OF THE DAY. OBAMA SPENDS 8 BILLION DOLLARS PER DAY MORE THAN WE TAKE IN.

    PER DAY. 8 FUKING BILLION.

Got my own fukking answer you incompetent jerk offs.

The Energy Information Administration released its weekly report on the condition of petroleum inventories in the United States today.

    Here are some highlights:

    CRUDE INVENTORIES:
Crude oil inventories decreased by 6.5 million barrels to a total of 373.6 million barrels. At 373.6 million barrels, inventories are 18.6 million barrels above last year (5.2%) and are above the upper limit of the average range.

    GASOLINE INVENTORIES:
Gasoline inventories decreased by 2.2 million barrels to 207.9 million barrels. At 207.9 million barrels, inventories are down 7.3 million barrels, or 3.4% lower than last year. Here's how individual regions and their gasoline inventory fared last week: East Coast (-1.3mb); Midwest (-0.2mb); Gulf Coast (-0.5mb); Rockies (N/C); and West Coast (-0.3mb). It is important to note which regions saw increases/decreases as this information likely drives prices up (in the case of falling inventories), or down (in the case of rising inventories).

    DISTILLATE (diesel, heating oil) INVENTORIES:
Distillate inventories decreased by 3.1 million barrels to a total of 124.3 million barrels. At 124.3 million barrels, inventories are now 18.4% lower than a year ago. Total distillate inventories stand 28.0 million barrels lower than their year ago level.

If you live under a rock and somehow are reading this blog, you may not be aware that problems with refineries and pipelines in Illinois and Wisconsin are making a great impact on gasoline prices in that region. States affected include Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. So far today, average prices are up 7.7c/gal in Illinois, 8.2c/gal in Michigan, 7.4c/gal in Indiana, 5.3c/gal in Wisconsin, 7.0c/gal in Ohio, and up 2.3c/gal in Kentucky. Keep in mind these averages will continue to rise as prices at the pump continue rising at more stations as the day wears on.

The increase in these states is so massive, it has pulled up the national average by almost 3c/gal at this moment today. Without the above mentioned states, the national average would be $3.52, while with the states included, we're currently at $3.55/gal. What a massive impact!

To add insult to injury, there are also scattered refinery problems elsewhere: a refinery in Tulsa, Oklahoma caught fire overnight and may lead to slightly higher prices in that area and in Oklahoma in the next few days. Also, a problem was reported at a San Francisco refinery, boosting wholesale prices along the West Coast. It may hit pumps in the next few days as well.

Now you are on track, there is plenty of oil and gas, oil companies are being allowed to fleece this country by charging prices based on speculation on derivatives instead of having prices based on the underlying commodities. This allows oil companies to make huge profits and drain the wealth of this country. Giving oil companies more free reign to rape and pillage this country (drill anywhere they want) is the absolute wrong answer. Outlawing derivatives on energy commodities is the clear answer.

Friday it was 3.95 in some places up that direction. It varied on an hour and half trip from 3.29 to 3.95. To top it off, it was 3.25 here at 3am when my husband went to work Friday, at 9 or 10 it was 3.95 and then by evening when my husband was coming back through it was 3.40 again all at the same station...

i actually am very familiar with this matter

and this actually IS obama's fault, he shut down the pipeline idea, directly affecting prices in the milwaukee/chicago/detroit area.

but the current problems are due to enbridge pipeline shut down for oil spill

there are 3 refineries shut down out of 7, and there's not enough supply around here because of that

GAS PRICES WERE $1.84 SIX DAYS AFTER OBAMA INAUGURATION, NOW THEY'RE MORE THAN TWICE THAT

obama is really helping the lower and middle class huh?
