Team USA relied on Kobe not Lebron in the clutch when they needed baskets. If Lebron is the better player why did they rely on Kobe? If Lebron is the better player why did Kobe outshine him on their one on one matchups? Why did Lebron have a worse record against the weaker Eastern Conference then Kobe did against the much tougher Western Conference? Kobe has three championships Lebron has zero. Give me the coat tail theory of Shaq all you want. MJ had Pippen, Magic had Kareem, Duncan had Robinson and Parker. No matter who you look at as a Hall of Famer they had a fellow Hall of Famer along with them for the ride. If the Lakers win it this year with Kobe his feats might just top the others as he doesn't have a true given Hall of Famer on his team right now. If Lebron does the same thing can be said about him. Lebron has not done enough in the league to be considered better than Kobe yet in my opinion. He has to yank the reigns away from the best and he hasn't done that yet. It will take more development for me to jump on that train. He has plenty of time people need to realize 24 is a lot different then 30 there is nothing wrong with Kobe being better right now. Six years more of experience is more than enough time for Lebron to make people say wow why did we ever debate who was better. He could also not improve at all and people will say wow at 30 he really isn't even close to as good as Kobe was at his age.
