My intention is not to publicly slam 1vice, but instead to describe my situation, to update everyone on how this is handled, and to oblige "Griffin", who has encouraged me to go to the "forum". I welcome your opinions and you can of course draw you own conclusions.
This is a summary of what has happened (Griffin is of course free to dispute, but I do have most of this documented)
I was begged to come over to this book by an aggressive customer service representative - I was with him at one of his former books where I lost quite a bit of money. He told me how great it was over here and how they would take special care of me. This was obviously my decision to come over.
At the time, I played a few NBA playoff games, then when the season was over stopped playing for a while. This individual then contacted me again and asked why I have not been playing and "suggested" I try playing some more. I told him I wanted to wait for football, but he "encouraged" me to bet some baseball....
At this point, with a little over $1K in the account, I decided to go all or nothing. I started to bet baseball games every night and got on a hot streak, bringing my balance up to around $5K. This was by betting and putting at risk my entire balance, every single night (about $20K in total action). Betting thousands a night - its known as volatility.
On Monday, I sign onto my account, expecting to see my $5K balance and instead see a big ZERO. WTF!
I contact 1Vice and am told (by Griffin) that they decided to send me on my way. I said, fine, but you could have at least sent me a note or indicated such rather than by me coming on here and almost having a heart attack. I am told don't worry we fully intend to pay you (this is on Monday) and to contact my account rep for details. I tell him I am not pleased but "fair enough", I will take you at your word.
I then call the account rep and he apologizes and basically says that this is a decision that he has no control over. He tells me he can pay me right away, and I can either get a check sent for the entire amount or I can get $900 today (I will not mention method). He says he will mail a check for the full amount today, then provide a tracking number. I am told I will have my entire funds in my hands very soon. Here is my email and the response:
my email: I thought about this more and I am not very happy with the situation and treatment. All if fine until you actually win something. I need to get my money ASAP. How long will a full check take to get here?"
answer: "A check will take from 4-5 bizz days for you to get it"
There are several back and forth emails where I am promised the tracking number. I can provide all emails.
So, it is now the end of the week (3-4 biz days have passed) - no tracking number, no funds.
Finally, I get back in touch with Griffin and he starts to get an attitude and instead of helping me, turns it against me (you know the one - you are being rude,be patient, you are aggressive, don't threaten us, if you are not nice you will not get your funds, etc). Well at this point I am more than upset. My Griffin and his book obviously never sent me anything. And he decides to take it out on me. I do tell him that perhaps I should post my experience on the forums as this situation does not seem right to me and I also would like to get a documented history of how things progress as they keep basically lying to me. Griffin tells me that yes, I should go to the forum and post, so this is what I am doing.
I am not happy with the treatment, but he can run his book however he wants. If they want to be babies about winners, so be it. I find it very disturbing that they can just zero out someone's account without explanation. And I also find it upsetting that not only do they promise to do something and then don't come through, but instead of trying to help, continue to make excuses then somehow find a way to insult me by accusing me of being rude or making embarrassing threats.
Mr Griffin, please sir, will you pay me my money as promised? How is that?
Again, I just want to be paid my funds as promised ("A check will take from 4-5 bizz days for you to get it").I am posting this after several attempts and finally the encouragement from Griffin, and as a means of providing a bit of transparency to this process. I will continue to post and will advise on how things turn out.
Opinions are welcome.
Best of luck everyone!!
