would you want Curtis Granderson on YOUR team?

the guy doesn't do the little things well. can't move runners over in a big spot. has a terrible arm in the field. NEVER can lay off a breaking pitch that is low and outside. he is basically a poor mans Adam Dunn with a bit of a higher average.

as the season is going on he is becoming feast or famine, either strike out or homer.

He is the product of a shallow ball park. And yes he strikes out too much.

Do I think he's overrated? Yes.

But I would still want him on my team. He's better than the average player and very good in the field. Has a good attitude toward the game and won't cause trouble.

Wouldn't pay him as much as they do though

Yankee Stadium is a little league field

    Stats overrated

Put Granderson on Mets and he is a minor leaguer

I loved Granderson when he was in Detroit. A total class act.

With that being said, I'm not disappointed we have Jackson now instead.

Not as good as his numbers indicate homers wise due to right field porch at home

    Still an above average player

And like nocoin said class act good guy. Would never get in any type of trouble.

    Yankee Problem.

I'd rather have Curtis batting 2nd then be a Met fan.

Big fan of both Grandy and Jackson. Grandy is a beast, especially considering where they bat him at times. Jackson could be really good, maybe better than Grandy, but right now you have to give the edge to the guy with a short porch.

Granderson is in the top 5-7 at a premium position. Pretty big drop off after that. So his WAR at the cf position is one you'd love as a gm even if there at 3,4,5,6 or 7 better than him.

He is fast as fuk in the outfield, I have seen him make some pretty awesome catches. He is a dangerous bat, but sometimes very inconsistent. He strikes out a fukload of the time, but his home runs that come out of nowhere can also be the difference in games.

I would say yes, I would want him on my team.

His stats aren't overrated .... He hit 30 home runs in Detroit an that's not a hitters park

He plays solid defense .... Plays everyday .. Hustles ... Doesn't complain .... An hits for power .....

Yah he doesn't have a good arm or strikes out a lot ... But the dude is still good ..... There are only a few outfielders id take over him right now

I said it was a big park ... And granderson hit for power in a huge park so how is Yankee stadium an effect when he hits 30 hr anyway? And he was a 260-270 hitter with Detroit ... So hitting 300 with way less he in commerica is not saying much ... You mad bro?

of course i would want him

brian cashman was smart to trade for him b/c of the short left porch in yankee stadium

if he hit 3rd 4th or 5th instead of 2nd he would average 115 rbi on the yankees

also he is an defensive ace in center field

Austin Jackson is better now and in long term of course Austin Jackson should be taken. He hits for higher average, just as good in OF, just as good speed, just less HRS. I'd take 15 HRS over 40 if he's hitting .310 and curtis hits .240
