    called 19 family members before I realized he was coming up again

    Kecuhel is like AA and marte kills lefties

    many tests to come....

    2nd AB was impressive as he was patient with and 0-2 count didn't chase some bad pitches, fouled some tough ones off.. then flew out.

    guy has issues with K's and not taking walks

    but I expect 10 triples before the end of the year

    but been watching Marte for years (well reading box scores and seeing glimpses in futures games or milb.com or spring training or youtube)

    been a much bigger fan of watching the farm systems then the big leagues for obvious reasons the last 10 years

    I heard 110 for total first ab hr's

    didn't hear an exact number for first pitch

    last pirate to do it was 1922

    add in the fact he was leading off the game AND hit the first pitch, i'd say its pretty select company

    pirates have a very decent farm so i can understand that, pirates fans must be unable to contain themselves waiting for the taillon and gerrit cole era to begin. pirates are gonna have an unbelievable rotation in 2014
