Boston Red Sox v Texas Rangers
8:05 PM ET, July 24, 2012
Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Arlington, Texas
Game 2 of 3
Red Sox -115
Texas -105
It’s the second of a 3 parter in Rangers Ballpark and after Colby Lewis has been ruled out for the rest of the season, word is that Texas will be looking for a big new signing to breath a bit of life into their ailing rotation. In the mean time they will have to make do with 21 year old Martin Perez from Venezuela to subdue the poorly performing Boston Red Sox. Lewis was initially back in action on Wednesday but eventually succumbed to a torn flexor tendon in his elbow, rendering him on the disabled list for the rest of the Rangers’ campaign. Rangers GM labeled it "a blow for us, but it's something we're going to recover from. It's an opportunity for someone to step up. I feel bad for Colby, he's been a warrior. He's pitched a ton of innings and he's been such a leader by example."
The Red Sox are the favourites to take victory in light of the Rangers current injury woes. They appear in the
SBR Sportsbook at -115 with the Rangers also on an under at -105.
