I watch all rangers games... no one throws him strikes or fastballs anymore . It's always breaking balls that tail away and he swings at them. Every time he bats and he isnt laying off or making any adjustments

Fade Rangers for the rest of the season?

They might be getting ready for their long stretch at home. They do play better in the heat at home.

But I'm not liking what I'm seeing. Considering their post season may be on the line, they needed to show more effort.

Did I hear when he swings he misses 36% of the time?

    That seems insanely high.

Tough patch he's goin thru right now for sure. Looks like he could use a few days off.

Only upside is that he's certainly driving his price down. Although I still believe its about 90% him & Texas part ways after this year.

Frieri just threw him 6 straight fastballs and he made contact with 1 that he just got a piece of the rest he wasn't even close.

Started him 2-0 and I'm thinking you really going to pitch around him and bring up the winning run to the plate? But then threw some strikes.

I'm not sure i would go on about fading them but this is a huge huge boost in confidence for the Angels taking this series and very demoralizing for Rangers. Angels are flying high right now. the combo of Pujols, Trout and Trumbo is just deadly, probably the best in the league. you heard Francona earlier, the way Trout is playing, no one has even mention that after hitting a .188 with 0 HR, Pujols is now hitting .280 with 18 hr and 60 RBI?

these teams still have 10 games remaining with each other and right now the Angels hold the upper hand mentally. plus Sciosca will out coach Washington badly in each and every game. wouldn't be surprised at all to see Angels run Texas down for the division.

    (sorry opie)

    Rangers are overrated

Hamilton needs a change also..maybe Boston, NY

He seems to not be in the game, pressing also

Give him a day or two off unless he is hurt and not saying anything (back)

neither boston nor the yanks can afford him due to their attempts to get under the luxury threshold by 2014. sox probably wont even resign jacoby ellsbury when he becomes a free agent.

not to mention if either team resigns him they will have 3 left handed outfielders, not ideal

When the Angels win the division, Mike Trout wins MVP.

He has an excuse for being a lame batter,he probably has problems with his swing because of tattoo infections.

He's dropping his bat too much.
Batting coach has got to fix that.

Maybe they should stop sucking the crackhead's rooster and give Miguel Cabrera his due.
Miguel Cabrera got robbed of an MVP last year, voters should try to recognize.
    Miguel Cabrera never golden/platinum sombreros.

miggy might be the best hitter but hes not the best player. Ellsbury had more homers, more hits, more runs scored, more steals and played better defense at a much harder position than first base. miggy never stood a chance at MVP unless they decided to hand them out depending on how many intentional walks you get in a season.

yep. have to remember the hardcore drug use that took its toll on his body. however hold he is, the drug use has has his body about 5-10 years older than it needs to be.

    Hitting is a constant adjustment.

Bad habits always try and creep in both mental and physical.

    He will be fine.

Josh Hamilton is 0 for 15 with runners in scoring position this month

Main reason for the Rangers offensive struggles in July

Enter Nolan Ryan, the Rangers president and CEO, and baseball Hall of Famer. Speaking on 103.3, he had this to say about Josh Hamilton:

I think we’re all seeing the same thing. You’re right that some of his at bats aren’t very impressive from the standpoint that he doesn’t work deep into the count, he’s swinging at a lot of bad pitches, he just doesn’t seem to be locked in at all. So what you’re hoping is that his approach will change and he’ll start giving quality at bats because there’s a lot of those at bats that he just gives away. One of the things I’ve always commented on is I can’t ever say that I ever saw Henry [Hank] Aaron give an at bat away.
