    I'm sure it happened in one of those 25 run games the last couple of years... but pretty brutal that the Cubs' best bullpen arm started the implosion... If it had been Dolis or Marmol or one of these other islanders that has no business on an MLB mound currently, I wouldn't have been shocked, they've been doing it all year. But Russell has been solid.

    A bad beat is a 1-1 game that goes over 8.5 in the 15th inning. Or when a team gets outhit 12-2 and wins 2-1.

    A bad beat is also a game that is 0-0 thru 6 innings and all of a sudden some limp dikk team that has not scored anywhere near 12 runs in a complete game for a long while hits that number in 1 inning! Last 6 Cards home games went un and Cards in general have been money machines lately on under's. Even the umpire for the game has a track record of last 6 games going un. Is that enough for you there homer? Some of us actually do our homework!

    And seriously who can be that stupid??? I mean really? ANY team scoring 12 runs in one inning (there only 12 for the fukking game) is unheard of and never happens fyi! Pretty sure most of us had this as a 4-2 type game but crazy sh*t happens sometimes.
