Bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, down 1 Run Bases Loaded who would you rather have?

    Derek Jeter or Arod?

arod will swing for grand slam, he only cares about his HR stats, not team winning

    Mr. November.

Guy is epitome of the word clutch.
Diving into news row to make a catch, flip throws to the plate, God knows how many jump throws from short left to nail a runner at first.....

Now, he won't hit that Jack Clark type moon shot, what Captain Clutch will do is take that outside pitch, drill it the opposite way, like he's done a million times before in his career, for a opposite field single to right, or better, a gapper to right center for a 3 run double.
And those base hits to right or right center are rarely cheap, they may go to the opposite field, but they are stroked.

Jeter has made a career out of being clutch, rag on his limited range all you want, he rarely makes mistakes, knows how to get runners over, or better, plated.

Arod gets a lot of walks in big situations. If there were two on I'd take Jeter but with the bases juiced I think I'd rather have The Rod.

I was behind home plate, up close and personal for this game A-Rod had.
Believe me when I tell you John, I have seen more baseball games than I care to admit, but on this night, I have never seen a hitter so locked and loaded in my life.

A-Rod hit 3 bombs, I mean bombs all off of Colon, one on the first, one in the third, the granny he hit in the fourth, the whole section 'called'.
Colon through him a meatball on the pitch before that granny, he timed it a hair late, and hit a laser beam foul ball straight back.
We all looked at each other, and pretty much said, "If Bartolo come back with that pitch, fuhgedaboutit".

Long story short, he did, and A-Rod hit an A-Bomb monument park area.
4 for 5, 10 RBI, 3 homers, and the only out he made that game was a fly to the warning track. (He was swinging from the heels, looking for that 4th tater)

    Here's the box.

No coin, he would be able to analyze every aspect of the situation .. though it would take about 8 hours we would win the game.

I personally kind of like the guy (A-Rod) yes he can be a nudge, I can do without the gum snapping, etc. etc. bear in mind, I am a fan of his, I would have to think he had to be.
He didn't look like Bonds or Mac did, but he had to be never the less.

7 years later, A-Rod hits a bases loaded double to the gap off Colon.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
