Stephen A Smith - What a Joke!
Saturday morning he is reporting "without a doubt the New York Knicks will match the offer for Jeremy Lin, you can guarantee that!"
Fast forward to this morning and now he says "New York will not match the offer, it's just to much money"
It's always nice to the see the fake media get punked.
All they did was run game on lin.....Mike woodson really didn't want lin..esp with the type of offense they going to run and what he place on defense.
Stephen A and Skip Bayles are all bark....and no bite...Must we always yell when dealing with athletes? Does anyone remember ESPN giving him his own show "Quite Frankly" gosh that was a such a mess similar to First Take

The Knicks are on record saying they WERE going to match the offer sheet. Jeremy Lin and the Rockets re-negotiated and changed the offer sheet.
It went from something along the lines of 3 years, $28 million and an option on the 3rd year
To 3 years, $25 million guaranteed. $15 million in the 3rd year.
these idiots will say whatever they please to get listeners to talk about them. it seems like it's working...
ESPN runs everything, in general. If ESPN doesn't find it important, then it isn't important.

iQon only guy with a clue on here. Knicks were planning to match. Rockets purposely stacked loaded the 3rd year of the contract so the Knicks wouldn't match. That's why the Knicks changed their mind.
