Mets look pretty good Phillies can not score to save their lives Mets hit Hamels decent, but bad against lefties in general I don't know

But Dickey at home should be -125 minimum

All the money on Mets, RLM like a motherfukker

You are assuming two things here:

    1) All books are on the level and line movement is always driven by only the money coming in
    2) Oddsmakers are no smarter than you

Listen up, as I've always said this: There's no such thing as a trap because you can take either side.

One man's trap is another man's lock is another man's stay away. There's value and there is probability ... only in the long run can one rise above or below it. Get it?

I've heard Vegas linesmakers in interviews admitting to having "sucker bets" or traps set up sometimes especiall in NFL

Go back and look at the threads that people warred with me last year over Green Bay / San Diego (+5.5 home dog). No coincidences was there on at least one of them. People called it a "trap", I called it a top play, and at the end of the game, they shut up.

It's because Big BL sees the wager through no matter what. The guy has a lot of passion with all of his picks.

BL believes he can beat ALL TRAPS.

So one example means they don't exist?

Certainly not. It means that on any given game, or even every so-called "trap game" there are people on all sides and this was one example that had a ton of classic naysayers labeling it a trap ... and they were wrong.

The point is that "traps" are proven wrong all the time ... for there to truly be such a thing everyone would have to identify/recognize them as such and it seems to me, by definition, that excludes it from being such.

So if a "trap" is a line that is designed to get a large majority of the public on one side (what Vegas feels is the wrong side), how does one individual being able to bet on either side make it not a trap?

There are traps everywhere you look in life...

The broad you're fukkin right now most likely has a nice one set...

    Why not linesmakers

Trap=did not do a thorough job capping the game.

Books do not trap bettors. Bettors trap themselves.

Naturally, the word trap has a negative implication. If you step into a bear trap, are trapped in a room, etc, the result is ultimately a LOSS.

However, if there is a trap set by the books, then that word trap implies that the person that falls into the trap has very very little to no chance of winning.

Which is not the case. You could take a team to win even though there is RLM and you have knowledge that 75% of the money is on that team and that team can still win easily.

Not every game that the books gamble on are made to trap opposing betters. So trap is not the right word if you want to get technical.

Traps are only for very casual bettors, beginners, and mega squares......They don't really exist, there is always a reason why a line is what it is if you dig deep enough

Once you've been in the game a few years nothing should really surprise you......Lines that always seem "off" at first glance are easy to see why once you use your brain 99% of the time

In short, yes there is traps. Odds makers even claim there are traps.
