    DAMN Paddypower just closed my account

    wtf, one of my all time favorite books,not always the best odds, but the best customer service from all UK books with nearly instant payouts,great poker room promos.they not longer accept customers from german legislation,wtf this is the second book in a short period of time,

    lets hope it will be not for a long time and they will send me a notice, but yeah the one or other book might follow, we couldnt play at ladvrokes and will hill for a long period

    I'd guess same as Australian issues with WillHill and B365, they want to comply with Deutsch law as they plan to gain local licensing one day.

    I believe they are setting up their own licencing regime. It is very restrictive though and among other things has a maximum of licencees or something silly like that. I know Betfair has been granted a licence in one of the states, so hopefully they will have a decent option with if/when all European bookies shut them down. Though it was not clear to me whether they would be allowed to use the exchange or their new fixed odds alternative. Paddy are likely closing German accounts either out of respect (yeah right) of the German laws, or because they one day want to improve their chances of getting a German licence should they apply for one. The same thing happened to Danish and Spanish players recently.

    I am sure they will get to play with most offshore bookies no matter what happens.

    I'd assume they're going to try to get licensed in Schleswig-Holstein. Now that Betfair, Jaxx, Nordwest, Bwin, Bet365, Bet-At-Home and Tipico were awarded licences in June I'm sure Paddy Power wants to get in there too.
