What/Why is the Reason you love/like SBR? Everybody chime in!!!

Was gonna make a Video asking this but felt like the truth would be better answered via posting...

You guys know me, Live to party, Live to gamble, etc...

But Since I've been Running my Business for the last few years and keeping my girl happy, I still chime in to see how 20-30 poster's are doing, Also to put my 2 cents in on a certain few topics...

I was never here to talk shit , always here just to talk sports and network with similar people across the globe...

I've got to meet/talk to the real guys on this site about gambling and exchanged winners from time to time but It's got me thinking...

Are you here to get away? Are you to learn? Are you here for winners? Are you here to meet people like you?

What drives you to log in everyday?

I know some of you are here for points, but step up and don't be scared to be yourself...

Example: Poster, "the giant" one of the best on the site, (but I've never seen his face or talked with him) aren't we here to learn from each other? To relate to each other?

I talk/text to at least 20 posters on SBR (90% you hear every month mentioned for POTM) but I'm asking to all posters' to step up and put your cards on the table...

No judgment here, why do you think JJ is so admired? Cuz he puts everything out there, and keeps the site on an even keel....

I've been through a lot and lived way beyond my age, and what I've found is that it takes a team to achieve what you/we want...

There's a reason your on this site, because most have similar live styles in common...

If you continue to live, you'll never die...

I am here to talk gambling but also mainly to fukk around/procrastinate.

JJ is loved because he is funny and easy to make fun of but also because most people here are losers and actually engage in his ridiculous discussions.

Honestly try to give winners for MMA and a few local MN teams(not very often)

A few contests once in a while.

Gotta be careful on which friends I explain sports wagering to as most do not have discipline... I don't want to ruin thir life. I am actually surprised how much discipline i personaly have. So I need sports wagering pals. Gotta figure I have a few here.

I like to watch the bromances unfold between the male posters on this board

Phone numbers have probably been swaped, posters have met for booty calls

I like to play detective and discover who on this board has boned who.

    So true

I try to talk to my non gambler friends and they think I suck ass at it because I have hit 57% of my plays the past 2 months

Non gamblers think that good ones have to hit 80%+ of their plays

    Wizzle,

Always like you cuz we live in the same area ( well now I do) and you are one of the most underrated cappers on the site... I've said that several times but you won't get the recognition cuz you get a lot of the the attention like "lakerboy" does because when your plays lose they drop several pages down, but the great calls stay up top...

Love your opinions, would enjoy a thread tracking your plays..

One of the few ( meaning less than 5 on the site) that I respect when It's comes to college hoops... You remind me of a poster from philly that left this site with a handle of ' micelli ' ( I think he's at EOG now, but one the top college hoops cappers online over the last several years...

Because we are all fkin degenerates. Some of us gamble $5 a unit, others $1,000, but we all LOVE action. We live for waking up in morning and playing an afternoon game for the fk of it.

We relate to the other gambles that are positive/negative lifetime. We make up SBR, the community. We live for this shit.

How many of you could stop gambling tomorrow all together? I know I couldn't we're fkin addicts

    Bigday,

As good as I reading people, I would never bet how much you bet on MMA compared to your other plays...

I remember we had a great run on NCAABB, and a year or so ago you'd follow a ton of posters, shoot me a 'PM' if you wish because I know you hit over 65% on MMA but my read is that your unit size is around 10/1 from your MMA wagers to your other plays...

Could say alot more, but you don't need any more hype, everyone knows your top 3-5 posters' on this site... ( and the drop off from 5 isn't close)

This guy is the person I'm most looking forward to meet for whatever reason... We've exchanged plays a few times (mostly winners) but from talking to JJ and Opie amongst others' , I just feel like we could crush a weekend at a casino or w/e... Dude might try to hard at times but it's all part of SBR...

Kinger, is so disciplined with his workout regime that he wouldn't be able to make it without SBR...

If there was ever any kind of contest ( like ' who could keep their hand on something the longest' ... He win's going away... Dude spends $400 a week to eat like that, and still continues to be top notch when it comes to west coast professional sports!...

If their was a negative about mayan, It's he wastes his time arguing with the trolls of the site... But that probably motivates him in the gym... lol

It is a forum on a global scale, and get some awesome national perspective outside of the local boards I frequent. It helps.

This guy is easy top 5 poster on the site...

Family man and is able to accomplish the hardest thing in life which is balance ( like paco) ... Guy knows his sports, parties with his boys, knows and loves the best sport (college hoops) and raises and family while keeping his girl happy...

Lived in AC from 19-23, I'm 27 now, used to grind poker for a living... Veteran's of SBR know my story, build a nice 25k bankroll from like 2K and took to many shots playing the bigger tournaments... I'm a very good poker player ( especially cash) but the 2500/5k + tournament buy in's , I found my self out classed and taking my shot too early... I got greedy (seeing average players cash in a big tourney for like 75k+) but I loved making 2-400 a day on average and never paying for a room/drink/food from 19-23...

I have figured out now that my local has his own local and he just wagers my picks. That fuk. Lol

    But, whatever.

My action wagers are pretty small and stupid. I'm just lucky to have the discipline to keep it that way.

    Good thread.

I'm still shocked that I post here. I swear on everything holy that prior to the day I joined SBR I had never even thought about posting at some online forum.

But here I am....as addicted as anyone here. I love SBR. It's a great place to spend time with guys that share your same interests. I've caught some grief from some on here for actually meeting different posters in "real life", but I've enjoyed meeting everyone. I've made some genuine "real life" friends from this place. I consider JJ, Bronxer & Paco all true friends of mine, and I think that feeling is mutual. There's several other guys I could add to this list, but you get the point.

My wife gets a kick out of this place too. When I was too busy to post much earlier this year, I could tell she was a little disappointed. I told her she's probably the first wife in history that was unhappy with their husband NOT spending enough time on SBR!

As silly as it may sound, SBR is a big part of my life. It gives me a great place to hang out, talk sports & gambling, and just shoot the bull with other guys just as sick as me.

    What's not to love??

    Love the personalities.

Whether it is brahma who thinks he could have been the first midget nfl linebacker or someone else who considers themselves a great athlete yet was cut from all the high school teams, the crazy personalities here are very interesting and absurdly entertaining.

    Haha! Cheers, buddy!

I love college basketball, follow recruiting as a hobby, absolute passion for me.

    Two things,

    1) take it with a lb of salt when I say to take Zona and fade Kansas.
    2) Take it seriously when I say to fade 'Zona - football/basketball - everything. Make most of my money off them losing.

    Really appreciate the shout out.

Some of the better posters have achieved a certain poetry to their style. It is good writing and entertaining.

Also very good resource in handicappers think tank archive.

When I started, and helped found the place, it was more civil discussion, handicapped focused, and discussion about the different books and opportunities. Today, SBR is a hybrid between a political message board and social/leisure talk. Fewer threads devoted to sports gambling than ever before. It's almost unrecognizable from what it was that very first year.

    Yeah, I can see that.

Someone let us riff raff into the room. Still a great site, and concept.

    Two things,

    1) take it with a lb of salt when I say to take Zona and fade Kansas.
    2) Take it seriously when I say to fade 'Zona - football/basketball - everything. Make most of my money off them losing.

    Really appreciate the shout out.
It's way over due, and I've mentioned you in some of my video's... My passion and heart resides in/with Louisville and college hoops has been the pursed game throughout my life... I'm sure you've seen my emotion on SBR, and My bedtime stories where about John Wooden to Denny Crum to Mickey Mantle and back again...

This is why I when I post about NCAABB especially about the BIG EASt or Louisville people listen... I lose sleep at night thinking about Syracuse, Pitt, & WVU leaving the conference...

FYI, we are cutting the nets down this year...

Finally good to see other opinions on angles day to day.
Well stated... But you have to understand most aren't able to read between the bullshit like you are....

I've been trying to cut that out...

I remember those days, but that's why I feel like threads like these contribute to making it a better a place...

That's my contribution as well as college basketball discussions....

    Agreed.

    It's our gambling soap opera.

Some of the bickering, attention whoring and storytelling telling around here is good for some laughs. That has seemed to take over this place lately. Instead of good info, you have to weed for that.

I'm mostly in the NASCAR forum these days. Good group of guys, and good info in the weekly race discussions. Good couple of weekly point contest in there too.

I just can't imagine not checking in to SBR, I've been here a long time.

Oh yeah. Can't forget the good ol Saloon threads by Dad.
