Mike Trout is worlds better than Bryce Harper, not even funny

Still can't believe people are putting Harper over Trout.

Trout is a true five star player, has a vertical leap most NBA ballers have.
He went 12 feet yesterday to snare that ball hit by Hardy that was clearly a homer.
Trout turns routine ground balls into singles. Has 7 homers already and missed all of April (almost)
He leads the AL with 21 steals. He's hitting .340 + has an OBA of over .400
Plays defense as well as anybody past or present.

Will be a 30/30 player within 2 years.
    He's barely 20 years old.

yeah right now Trout's star looks brighter. Harper got more hype and Trout will deal with west vs east coast bias.

I hope they are both off the charts great for many years though!

give Harper some time. his numbers through his first 40 games this year were better than the numbers Trout put up in his 40 games last year. He is a year behind Trout in terms of development after all

Is there a chance Trout is having the best year of his career in his first full year?

No, because speed never slumps, and Trout has Brett Gardner speed.
He'll get plenty of infield hits on speed alone, so his batting average will always be lofty.

both will face some slumps and the league will adjust to them. How they adjust back is the key.

Harper has already had struggles in the minors, and he's a moody kid. He might not have as good of a mental make up. and his temper might hurt him on and off the field.

    Trout is run creator.
Single stolen base, Hunter or Pujols drives him in
    or
He hits a home run himself and doesn't need anybody else to get him in.

Here's the problem with betting the LAA, Vegas like the NYY, over inflates the lines on those two teams

They have won 2 of 3 games so far since he has been called up. I don't know the exact number though.

I am a huge Angels fan and Trout is now my favorite current player. I watched this guy score from first base on a single to left field last week. A SINGLE. He hustled the whole way and easily made it home. When was the last time u seen a player score from first on a un-bobbled single?

I'd say the people that open the thread and comment on it, would be a good place to start. I mean the general idea is that you read the thread title and ask yourself a question like..."do I care about this thread enough to open it and read it" and then once opening you ask yourself..."do I care enough to post a reply comment in this thread"

if the answer is NO to either question, then generally you save yourself two cents....

    thanks for stopping by though!

Trout is striking out almost once a game no way he can keep up the other stats with his K's through the roof (Rickie Weeks theory)

    Rickie Weeks theory? Really?
Rickie Weeks never hit .280, ever.
Weeks stole 25 bases (his career high) in the entire 2007 season, Trout in two weeks or less will surpass that after 9 weeks of playing time.

Yes, Trout strikes out once every 5 plate appearance, but his OBA is over .400

He's on base 2 out of every 5 times, which more than offsets his 1:5 K ratio.

Please don't compare Weeks to Trout

lol that's a clown statement bro! at least HALF of the AL teams would let him start in their outfield today if he magically appeared on their roster and in their dug-out

correct he was drafted 25th. the biggest steal for the angels had to be mark trumbo in 2004 though, he was drafted sometime in the 18th round (thats about 500 picks before someone got him), and here he is having an all star season
