How many of you have lived in basically the same area (state) your whole life

Really feel like I'm missing out

still in my 30's but really would like to experience maybe living on the west coast or midwest somewhere

Have lived in the same county my whole life

NJ expensive as sh1t and its not even nice where is california is expensive but its certain areas are really nice to live

With the economy headed back in the tank and not sure if i will even have the same job or any job next year really makes it tough to pick up and move

feel like the clock is ticking because i want to move somewhere while i am still young enough to enjoy it

Born in Florida, moved to MI when I was 2. Moved to San Jose, CA in 2003 and have lived here ever since. Besides the cities, all of the midwest looks the same-flat and farms and cornfield everywhere.

parts of the midwest are appealing because of the people

whole different world from the northeast where i am

people very polite from what i saw the few times i was in the midwest. slower paced

You should travel. I've lived in Los Angeles, NYC, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, all because of jobs.

I hated the state I grew up in, so I moved a lot after I graduated.

Lived in ND, MN, MT, San Fran, SC, Colombia (for a year) and now Miami.

Loved MN and SF. I'd like to move out west next.

    Life is short, Broxner.

Seattle and Portland would be a great place to live if you are single. I lived in Washington State for most of my life, before moving some in the last three years. In SLC right now and it's a great state if you are active. I live 30 min from a ski resort.

People in Midwest are very polity and nice to everyone from what I noticed. I went to NYC a few years ago and everyone was rude as shit there, NJ wasn't as bad.

    This thread is mine....

Born in Washington DC to Salvadorian parents..
Born Providence Hospital and lived my days in NW DC till the age of 4
Parents moved to PG COUNTY MARYLAND about 20 minutes from our old house and about 5 minutes away from PG COUNTY/DC BORDER
Lived in PG COUNTY and the SAME house we moved to 18 years ago to this day...

I need to get the **** from this area I feel but its hit or miss cause in a way I love where I come from. Nothing like the big city feel no matter how far you are away from DC.

I'd be wary of living in the bad parts. People compare it to 3rd world country in the shit parts. I'll be living in River North, if you've got the money to do it, can't beat beat IMO from visiting other cities.

I certainly gathered the same sentiment when i roadtripped through the midwest to colorado. the people were going out of their way to help me and my girl out.

I have lived all my life on VA, and am fukkin sick of it. First chance I get I am bolting from this hellhole.

I give credit to the nova area for being one of the few places in the country undergoing job expansion though. I may just have to come to grips with it, get a job here and be like every other schmuck I grew up with.

Where in MN did you live? I grew up there but I've lived in Atlanta for the last 14 years. I just got back from a family reunion in MN a couple weeks ago. I like it so much better than Atlanta. I'm moving back there next year. I can't wait.

Grew up on the jersey shore.....went to school in SC, and just back now in NJ

I want to go experience something different while I'm living the bachelor life......Jersey shore a nice area to raise a family but it's only lively in the summer (And filled with dirtbags from NY and North Jersey during this time)

I loved South Carolina, and could live in Charleston or Columbia but looking to probably try something new......I have traveled all throughout the US and my favorite cities that appeal to a single young person are Chicago, New Orleans, Seattle, and I guess Las Vegas

Havent been to Denver, San Diego or San Fran.....Have heard great things about them

Need to look into Austin, Texas as well

Portland has some of the greatest night life options I have ever seen. Cost of living is decent, economy is depressed unless you work in certain sectors, and there's a lot to do. I miss Portland and highly recommend people check it out.
