mandzukic is one of top number 9 in this game..

Mandzukic played like a little bitch, apart from his assist he did not manage to overpower the rather mediocre Russian defence. Croatia was fairly lucky to get past Russia. Home field advantage can be big at WC.

Franz, this WC has been pretty wild. I mostly got my ass kicked too. Ironically, my main loss was on Spain-Russia upset. I really underestimated Russian spirit and overestimated Spain's form.

If Perisic is 1/2 inch to the right with his shot im in the green. I am not using that as an excuse or anything , just saying that it really is a fine line.

Yeah, that unlucky rebound hurt. Cost me quite a bit. But then who is to say Russia would not have been able to come back from 1-2 ?

A couple of Croatian players went to a hospital after the game. And they have some political controversy within a team. Croatia played two straight 120 mins + PK games. They will be running on fumes in the semis. If it was any other team but England facing them, I would fade Croatia large. But with England you never know.

I am going to await the official line ups. I think Croatia has a much better midfield then England with Perisic , Modiric and Rakitic. I dont really have a good read on this game. If it were just these two teams playing without any injuries , fatigue or toughness of schedule etc ....... Croatia for me. This English team has played very well under Southgate. They are fresh , young , with great pace....... My head says England will ware them down if they choose to play that way. I am going to wait and hope for an " in game " opportunity.
