Breaking down the exact value of an sbr point

I've seen it discussed but I never paid attention.

I'm confusing myself trying to calculate it.

Does anyone have an accurate calculation? And please don't use the 11k roses to figure it out

Pick an item from the store that is reasonably exchangeable for cash (gift cards probably work best for US - although certain other items may fetch a higher per point rate although they are more variable in their value).

    Divide the $ va
lue of the store purchase with the number of points required to obtain that item.

    Giftcard Exchange Rates: (va
    lue per point in bold)

    Airline 21309.00 $1,000.00 $0.05
    Prepaid Credit Gift Card 2647.00 $100.00 $0.04
    Target/Amazon/Best Buy 1168.00 $50.00 $0.04
    Starbucks 582.00 $25.00 $0.04

    Sportsbook Cash
    $70 cash - 975 $70 $0.07
    $140 cash - 1888 $140 $0.07

When looking at the value of purchasing items like electrical goods etc - you'd need to use something like ebay to get a value relative to your region and then use that to figure out the exchange rate that you would get on your item.
