Hey guys my name is Mike. I created an account cause I wanted to know if it's at all possible to turn this hobby into a living. I absolutely love sports and sports gambling is like the most enjoyable thing I've ever encountered. I currently have a pretty decent job where I make a decent living but it's not really fun, it's just what I do to make money. Last year, I made about $10,000 betting on baseball, basketball and football (I bet small cause I wasn't sure if I would be any good at it and I didn't want to lose a lot of money). I ended up hitting about 57% over a 400 play sample size so I think I'm decent at it

My question is there anybody who does this consistently for a living? Do the offshore books allow people to make say 60 or 70,000 dollars a year? I mainly used 5 dimes and bookmaker last year

You don't think it's possible to consistently beat the books or it's not possible to get the books to pay large payouts? I mean I hit 57% over a very big sample size (about 430 plays actually) so I know that's can't be all luck

Shooker, you can make a living using alt spreads with live betting IF u understand the sport ur capping enough...

    Small risk for maximum returns...

Let the book work for you, not the other way round...

You don't think it's possible to make a living with traditional betting? I'm pretty good at moneyline plays in all 3 sports of football, baseball and basketball

I enjoy this a million times more than my regular job. Although I would never do this to replace my real job unless I made at least 50,000 dollars over a good long period (maybe 3 years)

How much do you make if you don't mind me asking? Do you ever make 4-6,000 in one month alone?

NO. All advantages are with the book. Best thing to do is give up the pipe dream of thinking you can make a living gambling. You may get lucky and make a big score, but in the long run you will Lose. Approach gambling from an entertainment perspective or else you are in or a rude awakening imo.

Im not claiming to be a professional sports bettor cause im not but rule of thumb...if your not able to make triple what your worth in the job market, then its a better idea to keep your job.

Helth insurance is expensive and most employer pensions are worth 1-1.5 million dollars.

But I hit 57% over a 400+ play sample. Is it possible that's just good luck? I can't imagine success over a 400 play sample size being only luck

I'm not this guy, I dunno what the f*ck you're talking about. You can ask the mods to do an IP check if you want

OP it's possible, the hardest thing is bankroll management. Most people lose cause they don't have bankroll management, myself included. only bet 1% of BR on every game

I treat gambling like being a sniper...Can wait and wait and wait some more but eventually when the target is identified and engaged il make the 'kill' more often than not...
