It's time to go SBR Pro...

I would have done the sportsbook deposit but that option is no longer available.

Has anyone done the Sports Ticket Purchase? If so, is Vivid Seats a legit site? Seems a bit sketchy to me.

The tickets are incredibly over priced. I know a ticket broker personally and can get the same tickets to Charger games for half price.

I was thinking of going pro last week, and the ticket option was appealing until checking out the prices.

I realize I'm not a pro and maybe shouldn't be giving advice BUT I would do the fantasy sports thing for a few reasons.

    1. it's legal
    2. you can use paypal
    3. you aren't losing any money to become pro since you get to wager with it in games

It's been outlined very clearly several times, and the answer hasn't changed: going pro is only a no-brainer if you're going to be here doing everything anyways (really boils down to playing poker here and the occassional contest these days). Otherwise it's not worth the time for US posters, or international ones who've xhausted their sportsbook cash options. Glad I was able to go pro with a $200 deposit; like tat, I'm not a fan of hoping $200 is donated to charity in my name (and I don't think the IRS accepts a badge as proof of donation).

With as much time as you (or I for that matter) spend here, pro is worth it...it's not for many others

Are the points cashed out considered as income by IRS? Do we have to pay taxes on them?

Grey area I think...not a big enough issue, but the IRS has been nit-picking things like airline miles and CC rewards in recent years...something like this could very well technically fall into taxable income category.

That being said, they wouldn't find out about stuff like a gift card unless you reported it. Only stuff that goes through a bank account (sportsbook or fantasy cash when withdrawing) would be likely to show up.

Still hurtin' from getting BURIED in that thread, huh? It's beyond palpable. Huck makes a lighthearted observation exposing your ironic (clueless) 'turn of phrase' and your weak-minded lil brain can't handle it. What an effin simpleton you are...

Keep being so very proud of that 'award' too, Lil koncker. All those people in your life were WRONG: You *did* amount to something!

Oh, and speakin' of laughing at idiots:

Your superior knowledge & command of the English language is unparalleled 'round these parts (save for Sarunas & tt, natch), so I totally buy your continued insistence that suppovely (tt-tm) "your" and "you're" are interchangeable just as "to" and "too" are; I mean, sure, once in awhile is a mistake anybody can make... BUT... you prove to all of us that no, they are, in fact, interchangeable.

GOOD WORK, konck!... just as these gems in this thread are:

    Exactly
I don't participate in any contests or poker games. I barely bet at the sports book so it's not worth it for me. When sbr had the option to deposit and become pro, i didn't mind. If you got time to play poker and participate in the contests than go for it, good for you! Go pro!

Ill agree with that but you can copy the page you make the donation on and use that. SBR is a hobby a few hrs a week should at least be a break even deal. You only have to pay once. But good pt.
