    i just said bellagio

also i'm pretty sure wynn, venetian, and every other casino that allows surrender (usually on 6-deck games) allow you to surrender vs an ace after checking blackjack.

you said you could guarantee this fact that you couldn't surrender against an ace, call bellagio if you have to

Well I can say that it is usually a VERY BAD move in a live casino operation. You are giving up $50 on a $100 bet when the dealer could bust and you would get $200.

Even when the dealer has a 10, you should let him take the chance to bust.

But on internet casinos where the dealer gets 20 five times more often, it might be a good option. But I would use it all of the time versus an ace with 15 or 16 even in a live casino situation

    http://wizardofvegas.com/guides/blackjack-survey/

every casino on this list with a "yes" for surrender allows surrender vs any card (including ace) if the dealer has no blackjack, read the bottom

I usually only play single or 2 deck blackjack. Maybe that is the difference in the casinos where I attend. But I wasnt talking about Vegas casinos anyway. Maybe casinos in Louisiana or Biloxi have different rules

good article about when the equity in your $100 bet is worth less than $50 po69. yes the dealer could bust but 1) you're probably going to bust first and 2) they won't bust enough to the point where the chance of making $200 is worth throwing away another $50 most of the time

I see that I need to study that chart before i play blackjack in vegas. Usually I only play poker and when I have played blackjack on the strip, never worried about the surrender anyway.

But I can why the casinos in Louisiana and Biloxi dont offer the surrender option.

Can you surrender in the single deck game here at sbr? I could have sworn that i didnt see it the other day.

I dont want to waste any points trying to find out either

yeah i run into people all the time that play tons of blackjack and when i explain to them how the dealer hitting on soft 17 is a disadvantage they just give me blank stares as if it makes no difference. or some of them actually think that's better for the player than the dealer staying on soft 17.

Well I dont play the sbr casino anyway or any internet casino.

But I do play single deck (2 deck) blackjack pitch. Easier to count the cards so that is why i prefer it in a live casino

Ellis Island has in the past. I will see if they still do next week when I pay them a visit.
