    Stiffed by eastcoastsports/betez.com (scam)

I was stiffed by an agent by the name of Ed for $10,300. I was approached by them before the final four and played with them until I was over my limit of 10k. I just spent the past two weeks being strung along by Ed. He claims to maintain beteastcoast.com and betwestcoast.com, skins of betez.com. He claimed his lack of payment was a result of poor management on his end, lack of funds, and lack of experience. The backend, betez.com, told me they could not, and would not do anything. I was a little suprised that they were not willing to mediate. I just wanted to let the board know because I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. It was a huge waste of my time.

Ok I got a few helpful emails on this guy from others. I am putting together all of the information on him to turn over. I am not letting this one get away. If I do, he is just going to nail more people. I have three IP addresses for him as well as the name of the person his phone is registered to.

    Stiffed,

Does Betez acknowledge that their site services this agent?

Yes they do. They claimed they would contact the agent and let them know the situation.

    Stiffed,

It's a longshot, but we can try to help.

Have you filled out a complaint here:
    http://www.sportsbookreview.com/Spor...Complaint.aspx

Or you can email me at justin@sportsbookreview.com with all the details.

If a new book is dealing with agents that don't pay, my first impression is that the new book might be a scam shell.

Same thing happened to me, there was an agent named Clint who lived in Kentucky but he used Betez website to have people post their bets and etc. Long story short he stiffed me out of 12,000 and there was nothing I could do about it.... legally.

    It is a PPH site.

The site itself has no obligation to pay anyone.

You need to deal with the agent yourself.

The only thing you could possibly do is talk to the site about shutting the non-paying agent out from using their services.

He would probably just reopen under another name though.

When you get an account with a PPH site your at your own risk. Know who you are dealing with is the bottom line. These places house alot of bad agents. I know a few that actually reference guys before they allow them to put business in with them. but most of the bigger ones dont give a shit. Just pay them the weekly fee and its a license to steal

Is this a serious question or are you just an idiot? Pay per head shops consists of nothing but locals. You have to know who you are dealing with. You could be dealing with a guy where you are his only client and he is taking a shot on you. Wake up people!!!!!!!!!!

It is a serious question because the way it sounds to me is that the guy that you 'have to know' is ripping him off anyway. At least if you are dealing with the parent company there is a bit more accountability when they try to steal from someone. If he had gone to betez instead of Ed at least there would be an entity there instead of some goon in a trailerpark sitting on his cash. You're the idiot, dick.
