    he took the option because he had a back issue. he would have never passed a physical with that injury so no one would have signed or insured him. now he has next year to prove he is healthy to get that new contract.

    This is the wrong reason to sign the extension. Back problems be damned. Orlando management should have traded him as damaged goods and not given him the benefit of making another full year salary while his health was in doubt.
