Just got a cold call from AmericasBookie.com ?

I saw a Vegas area code but didnt recognize the number so I didnt asnwer. They left a voicemail saying that I still have funds in my account with them? wtf? I never even signed up with them, dont even know who they are. They went on to say that they are offering 100% bonuses on reloads.

Anybody else getting calls from these clowns?

I looked up the phone number online and see it is associated with Bet33.

    Sportsbook Review of Americasbookie
2006/10/24 - Reviewed by Ira NansonAmericasbookie is part of a network scam operated by Apex and run by Robbie M\*\*\*\*\*\*, who has a long shameful history in the gaming industry of no payouts and in particular, shutting up shop and starting again under the guise of a new website. Commonly they choose domain names closely related to reputable books like LasPalmas and Legendz and spam email lists advertising fantastic bonus offers so that unwitting customers will deposit with them.
Watch out for other related sites such as: Bet33, CanadasBookie, Las Palmas Sportsbook, Legend Sportsbook, Ocean Sportsbook and TotalBets.
Typically scam books will purchase stolen customer data, create an account using the same password the customer had used and fund it with an attractive bonus. Unfortunately too many customers are duped in to this scam without questioning how the book got their email address or without doing any research on the site or the people behind it.
In accordance to normal spam tactics Americasbookie is very appealing, it hosts a website that is very professional in appearance and advertise extravagant bonus awards.
Customer service is available but it's limited to email and telephone use only but you are not likely to get any response to your emails.
We are not going to waste any time telling you about the attractions of this site because we strongly urge that you to stay away. For any customers with funds in any of APEX sites you are strongly advised to withdraw them and invest in a book that is well established with a solid reputation and ranked amongst the top listed operations.

I fukking hate telemarketing scumbags. Where the fukk did they get my phone number? Who is the asshole who sold them my phone number? It had to have been another book.

I have no problem with guys slipping in there and munching through a bonus. Just keep in mind this is like playing musical chairs. This book has changed its name quite a few times. When the music stops(money runs out) they will open under a different name; search Apex. Because these shops are not deep pocketed you are hoping other players lose.

One poster asked is there any current payout issues. Their past MO suggests by the time you hear about the first no pay it will be too late.

To conclude, I would not talk anyone out of joining there. Just be aware this is not a 5Dimes or Bookmaker. You can not let your winnings run or make big deposits. This is like trading a penny stock, get in and get out. For those that are comfortable with that then go for it.

A good example is what Cory did to Easybets. As you recall he was stiffed for $46,000 after hitting 3 royals in their casino.

If you play at book like this you can't afford to let your winnings grow. Cory could of and should of stopped when he was up $10,000. They probably would have paid him. But at $46k they would rather preserve the money and take the bad PR, it was a simple business decision. Some of these books are very small. The typical small book has less office space than a garage, a couple of employees and 40-110 active players. Contrast them to a Bookmaker.eu which probably has 100,000 sq ft office, a couple of hundred employees and well over 5,000 players. If you join one of these smaller books keep your payouts under $1,000 and you will be fine.

Terrible advice on this book John.If one of the 6 or 7 flying under this flag falls, the whole bunch is in stiff mode.Put lipstick on a pig you still have a pig.

John's advice is actually really good. I built a good percentage of my bankroll bonus scalping scam books. It's a somewhat risky proposition, but if you get in on the front end usually you'll have plenty of time to have your money arbed out into a safer book. In no way are you relying on or expecting the scam book to pay - you just need them to not fold up shop while you've got balance there.
