I don't think Floyd is sitting at home on the computer and thinks "I might throw a mil on the Thunder tonight". He would have to have some of the best inside contacts in sports, and whether he's dropping 6 or 7 figures, I'd say he's getting some very knowledgable picks from someone who knows what they're talking about. This thread would obviously be a lot different if OKC lost. As it turns out, if this bet was real, it was a damn good one.

Either way he is ballin. But he is a the prick of pricks. Karma is a bitch and he will be broke, meanwhile Manny is rich and living it up with his loving but unattractive wife.

Cant hate on mayweather. If he can afford to bet it, whichhe can, go for it. But dont sit there and act like he is loaded or worth over 150 million. The guy blows money all the time and has had many money issues in the past with the IRS and some insiders say hes borrowed money multiple times from 50 cent.

Hes getting Older and say what you want about what he makes but he is a worker, he has no passive income. Hes not getting any endorsements outside of boxing and hes no entrpeanuer. When he stops boxing so does the money. Add in his gambling habbits and a couple bad investments and he could go downhill real fast.

JJ- this bet may have not happened but years ago I had to sign off on him betting 6 figures on NBA at a former job. He bets heavy and was ahead. He has some good investments that should keep him ok for a long time. Expect him to compete with the big promoters in the next 4 to 5 years.

There is no such thing as "money to waste". The only people who think like that are those that have never had it.

And JJ is 100% right. Anyone betting like this is going to end up broke. Period. Only a fool would bet a side in a sporting event for millions of dollars. And hopefully you know what happens to a fool and his money.....

Its like Billy Walters. Anyone who thinks that guy has made most of his money by betting sides is a fool. That's not to say he isn't a whale and clearly a sharp gambler, but the majority of his wealth (whats left of it) has come from other ventures.

Does anyone know what the high rollers bet per hand of blackjack?

I would imagine there are some casinos that will take up to $100 000 per hand. So betting 1.2 mil on a sporting event doesn't seem all that outrageous in Vegas.

I'd bet a lot that that's not an accurate representation of his net worth at the moment.

Additionally, net worth != annual income.

Not many in Vegas will take 100k a hand in 21. Bacc yes. 50k is the usual limit and player has to have a cash or credit bankroll of a few mil minimum to even get that limit.
