    KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera was taken off the field at Kauffman Stadium on a cart after apparently injuring his right knee while shagging flies during batting practice.

    He has been doing it for years? he obviously enjoys doing it and would have wake him a little before a game. Try and stop him and you are more likely to bore the guy to death before the game has even started. No point in having an unhappy player.

    This is spooky. CBS Fantasy News report on Rafael Soriano's page from earlier this week:

    Soriano would be smart to avoid walking hitters as he has one base on balls in each outing he's made thus far. The good news is that he has three Ks in two innings and his fingernail issue was a non-issue. Soriano only has Fantasy value in leagues that reward for holds unless something happens to Mariano Rivera.

    As a Yankees fan, I just feel bad more for Mo than I do about the team.....The Yankees will be fine with Robertson and Soriano. Just sucks if this is how he goes out.....Gotta think he makes a comeback next season, or maybe even late in the playoffs (doubtful, but who knows)
