    Pinnacle is upset on me

Here's an email I got from them:

    Dear Sir,

Our Risk Department notices that you are withdrawing your entire balance and making a new CC deposit. For example, on 29 April you requested a wire and on 30 April made a CC deposit.

We have no problem with our clients requesting withdraws from their accounts. The majority of our clients plan to continue playing and make the occasional partial withdrawal. Or some withdraw their entire balance at the end of their favorite season. We are also happy to pay the 4% fees associated with CC deposits for our clients.

However, we do not expect that clients will withdraw their funds using a wire only to re-deposit with a CC. The fees paid by Pinnacle Sports to accept these re-deposited funds were £203.

We are bringing this to your attention since if you choose to manage your account balance in this manner, your account will be set to be charged the full 4% fee incurred by Pinnacle Sports to accept your CC deposits and you will also be charged for all withdrawals.

We appreciate your cooperation regarding future withdrawals and deposits to your account.

    Kind regards,

    Customer Service Department
    Pinnacle Sports

I didn't know they are paying too many fees, I'm used to UK books which allow you to deposit and withdraw freely, so okay, don't kill me for that, I'm just wondering what should I tell them back by email.

The thing I found best about this is they sent you a message giving you a heads up in advance. Other books just slap you with the fee. The reason so many people recommend this book is right there, their professionalism is wonderful.

And yeah, for me I just use m'on'eybookers for depositing and withdrawals. Quick and easy.

What they're saying for CC fees they have to pay is completely true. I work in retail and store CC are promoted so much because of this very reason. CC companies take a fee and charge the business a percentage of the volume they generate as a processing fee. Can be anywhere from 3 - 6%. Pinny would end up taking those fees on your behalf but add that to the wire fees they'll also cover and they'll want to let you know you're milking their money for avoidable reasons.

Tell em to give you a freeplay for having to read all that and also explain that where you come from having to comprehend anything over 3 sentences is cause for a beatdown.

Ya. That would be unreal to just keep doing that. What a scam!

You could cake whatever kind of points or cashback you have worked out with your CC so hard. Damn.

OP, you say you do it all the time in Europe? You talking WillHill and Bet365?

Don't you also pay interest and fees for using your cc to deposit with bookies?

Most cc providers here now treat payments to bookies a "cash advances" incurring a fee and interest.

    Not true.
Most Aussie cc providers now treat payments to bookies as "cash advances" which incur both a transaction fee and an obscene interest rate.
I've not attempted to use my cc at a UK book. Firstly I can't use any UK books any more and secondly, if I could I'd use Moneybookers. Unfortunately not all Aussie books will accept Moneybookers and this move against bookies by the CC providers is an unjustifiable pain in the arse.

Yep, I've been charged a small fee I think it was around 1-2% and I make small deposits so hasn't been exorbitant

Thats a nice email actually, other books would just banned you or not going to take your business, depositing via CC is already hard to do and if you do it and take all the winnings right away and then redepositing again there might be a lot of chances that there is something fishy going on, I can see this player is going to make a ********** ASAP as soon as he starts losing or after a week, then he will have the payouts and the deposits are **********, definitely something is not right.

What I do is that if I need the money I would some of my money out and leave the rest of it there to keep having action, there are games every day so why bothering taking the entire balance out :S

Gotta agree with Pinnacle here, this seems abusive. You could at least mask it a little better. Withdraw half your account, then a couple weeks later deposit, etc etc. But this is pretty blatant.

Seems to be fair enough - they're getting spanked by your deposit fees and want you to change your money movement patterns.

Most UK books don't do this, because their prices are so awful that 4% means nothing. Pinnacle operate on such low margins that can mean a loss.

    Thank you... starting scam tomorrow.

How long will my CC company let me get away with this? Will they try to take back the extra points I will have earned?

    Any risk?

Don't know about your cc provider but in relation to payments to bookmakers over the past couple of years all those in Australia have been moving towards designating them as "cash advances" with the consequences:
    - a transaction fee
    - interest charged at an obscene rate
    - no rewards points

Hareeba, I have also been getting hit with my deposits being labelled as "cash advances" on my statement. 21% interest through NAB, ridiculous!!!
