I almost lost £2,000 last night in the NBA playoff games.
First, I placed a crazy bet £1000 on Indiana (Money Line, they had -9 before the game started) to win like £130, I thought it's a safe bet and I placed it while they were leading in the 1st quarter by like 8-10 points - and I lost the £1000 because Orlando won the game in Money Line (and with the +9 spread too).
I went to sleep already and put an alarm to check the ORL-IND scores and was so down to see the idiots have lost the game, so I couldn't sleep any longer and just "had to chase" and bet on the DALLAS - OKLAHOMA game, when I woke up like not a long ago, it was around 78 - 78 the score, something around that and I took the OVER 187 points (by then they scored only 15 points in the 4th quarter when I placed the bet and 6 minutes of that quarter went away already so I figured low scoring 4th quarter is not possible so go OVER all the way) ...
So yeah, I did get this one right, but what if they had low scoring and I would have lost the other £1000 I bet with?
Not only that, I deposited using my Halifax card and now I need to wait like 5 days to get that stupid withdrawal back and the bank is gonna start charging me overdraft fees of £1 per day so I might lose another 5 quid over that ya, so it sucks, plus the £12 fee from Pinny so I'm already lost "only" £22 out of all this craziness of my own stupid selfishness ... I think I totally have a gambling addiction !!!! what should I do ???
