ESPN/ESPN2 not airing any sporting events tonight

Unless you consider bowling to be a sport.

ESPN blows. I realy liked these guys in the early 2000s watching SC every night, they've really gone downhill.

Unreal how bad their programming can be at times. Espn3 actually has a college baseball match between coastal carolina and clemson, bowling and college softball. The softball match is subject to blackout though , check your local listings.

espn 8 "the ocho", if its almost a sport, we got it here

God I hate it when they have curling on instead of champions league.

^^ Hey I'm not saying I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs because of it. I'm watching the Devils game. I just found it amusing that this "sports network" won't air sporting events.

By the way, they must've banned sports from the airwaves all day. They didn't have champions league on either.

No sporting events, morning, afternoon, or night.

Same thing today and it was the same thing last Tuesday.

I guess they have a rule against airing sports on Tuesdays. They only do contracts to broadcast on other days?

^ As stated, I am aware of online streams (watching Pirates right now). I am just commenting that ESPN, the "sports leader" or whatever, isn't airing any sports at all.

Actually I have been told that they do it on purpose. They realize that there really isn't any demand for anything tonight other than the basketball and hockey games. The money brought in for viewership for second rate events will not outweigh the money it would cost to put them on, therefore you get something cheap since no one will be watching it anyway.

Agree, they are too sensationalist now when it comes to pro sports. College sports they are still OK, but the pro sports its all about sensationalism no different than the drive by mainstream news media.

I know its a common stereotype but its true, ESPN is still too biased towards Northeast teams(New York, Boston in particular) and is even more sensationalist with them. Look at how they ejaculated all over the place when the Knicks won the other day and they have been on the Knicks jock all season

Also hate how ESPN dropped NHL and I still think they did that just because they were angry about Hartford.

I'll stick with the individual pro sports channels like MLB network for pro sports coverage.
