I've never claimed to be making that much money. But that really isn't the point.

I know one very successful pro who doesn't even have a Pinnacle account. He makes at least what you're talking about betting on events which Pinnacle doesn't even offer.

I know another who does have a Pinnacle account but makes nearly all his quite considerable annual profits on Betfair alone.

And about half my annual turnover is also on events which Pinnacle doesn't offer. For those which Pinnacle do offer Betfair and Matchbook generally offer better odds so get more of my business.

Yes, Pinnacle is certainly one of the two best books in the world but there are also two exchanges which attract more of my business.

baskets a lot of pros probably lose at pinny because they scalp there and lose the scalp, so you could make 150k a year on non scalps and lose 150k a year on scalps for example and break even there.

Pinnacle offers a lot of high profile markets with large limits but on the low profile markets the limits are pretty low or simply not offered. The problem with the popular markets is that they are much more efficient and thus harder to beat. A specialist such as the chap I mentioned will concentrate on one or two sports where his knowledge is superior to the bookies' and find the best places to play them for reasonable stakes. Many such punters are into horses or greyhounds. You don't find Pinnacle covering them. And good luck trying to get a reasonable sized bet on cricket which would rate as one of the world's biggest betting sports with hundreds of millions of followers.

Yes at Caribsports. I had my limits cut after a winning streak but if you keep loosing after awhile, you can request to have your limit increase again.

right on brother!!!...i believe he is into horses but is probably a $2 bettor and grinds out a living...probably makes $100 a day i would guess...but has to do this upwards of 16 hours a day...also my guess based on his posting history...so he makes 35 to 40k a year...not bad but not worth it imo.

Still no one has stepped up to the plate and has mentioned winning > 100k lifetime at Pinny or at any book.

Seems rather easy to do if you play there and win a paltry >2k a month for 5 years.


Seems rather counterintuitive that if someone proclaims from 200k - 300k earnings a year, yet hasn't achieved the above.... nor has monthly % earnings from these megabooks topping 10% of their monthly haul.... and yet their other 70% of winnings are from lesser books that yield them a higher return than Betfair, Pinny, etc... (Giving the other 20% to Betfair and whomever)
