80-80 seems feasible. need to play at their absolute peaks though and not sell off talent at the trade deadline

Being a Braves fan I do not pay too much attention to the AL East but I love when you see different teams starting to put together winning seasons. Orioles are always the laughing stock it would be a great story "if" they can continue their success through the summer. I hope they keep it going. My 2 cents.

they are the clev, indians of last year. great young pitching roaring to start, and it will come back down to earth pretty soon. you see teams like this every year. in the NL its the dodgers.

i remember in 2003-2004 i believe brewers started 24-10 and ended up finishing under .500

Orioles are for real imo . still a long way to go but i think they have a decent foundation heading the rest of the season.
maybe pick up couple more pieces by the deadline.. i thought they should have taken abreau

But the Indians last year, had no talent. Orioles have legitimate talent. Their outfield is top 5 overall, and the pitching is top ten.

starting pitching has regression coming. they have a really low babip. three of them are under .255.

and chen has a groundball rate of only 35 percent with a modest k rate, and a hr/fb rate of only 4.7 percent. that shit won't last either.

The good is that they've kept a nucleus for a few years, and it's paying off. Seattle too.

The bad is that Buck Showalter can never put a good full year together, and the O's are still a team that cannot afford a single injury to a starting player at this time. When it starts to happen, and it will, you'll see the collapse.

I'd like to think so, but I fear it's the same as last year, where he's prone to streaks, and the bad ones he has no ability to control them.

I remember the Rangers pounding Arrieta last year

Arrieta is a Frog though... but I am still going to pull for the Rangers tonight anyway. I think they can get to Arrieta again especially if Beltre is in the lineup. Feliz though has been scary since he can't seem to do anything but throw fastballs in the strike zone.

If anything, I'm taking my chances against Feliz. He is the only guy in this series that can lose this game. Hey, the Orioles still have Chris Davis as the secret reliever as well u know.

That's a 75% chance of hitting when you have 3 teams involved.

Being a resident of Baltimore i can tell you i have seen this song and dance before with the O's. I think it was back in 2006 when we were in 1st place in the division at the all star break. Everything was looking good. Then after the all star break i think we set the record for most losses after the all star break and finished dead last. I think we only won 19 gms after the break.

All the same signs are there just like in 06 i think it was we were in 1st place starting pitching was good our bullpen was great and our offense was on fire. So forgive me if i dont by in to the O's yet. I have been burned way too many times by them. Last winning season was in 1997. Thats 15 years of losing.
