Can The Lakers Win AGAIN Without Kobe Tonight?

I have to say Im really a horse race guy. First Post here. I mostly post on TVG.

When I see a good sports bet though I like to jump in. I have watched the previous Laker games and the refs have really helped them ALOT since kobe has been out. Well the games at staples the refs have been favoring the Lakers in my opinion. Maybe its because alot of people were betting against the Lakers when Kobe went out?

Anyone have a current line for the game tonight?

Looks like the Spurs are favored.

    Interesting

The last 2 home games the Lakers were favored -3.5 vs Denver. Also -2 vs Dallas.

Now all the sudden they are underdogs?

    Smells REAL Fishy

    any thoughts?

not fishy. Spurs are one of the best teams in the NBA. They're obviously favored. If Kobe was playing, SA might still be favored, at -1 or so.

Depends on what Coach Pop is gonna do, is he sitting starters or will he try to win this one? I haven't heard, but I've been out all day.
Lakers are definitely playing well without Kobe, are the Lakers motivated to try to win this one tonight? I would think so, I think they would rather face Denver instead of Memphis in the first round, so gotta keep that one game advantage of the Clips.

The lakers are a better team without that ball hog. Guy jacks up 30 air balls a game and hits 6 percent in clutch situations and people still act like he is the same player he was when shaq was winning all of those championships for him. If Gasol wasn't there to put back his game winning air balls the guy would be as valuable to a team as iverson was.

The Lakers really destroyed the Spurs Kobe-less at SA about a week ago.

I was at the game. Bynum was a monster setting a Spurs franchise record allowing him 30 rebounds.

LA has the Spurs number. I wouldnt play the Spurs here. The Lakers defensive spacing is nearly perfect against the Spurs.

As far as Pop wanting or not wanting this game I assure you he and everyone in SA is worried that we have some problems with LA. SA coasted to a win last night and this is a back to back with a game tomorrow but I guarantee they play hard and prepare for a playoff series against LA. This will feel like a playoff game.
