Most people felt his Gold Gloves were undeserved considering it should be based on defensive production. I don't know if that's justification to hate on him as it wasn't his decision to award himself.

Now that fukking Rodriguez, that's another story. What a fukking fukk.

no doubt, but that is because of what he WAS. He isn't that anymore. He is what he is.

A .400 hitter (with four more hits) tonight, that's what he is, a multiple gold glove winning SS that's hitting .400 in the month of May

Not only should Jeter get 1st ballot, he should get 100% of the vote.

He is 1,124 hits away. You figure he will be around 850 to 900 away after this season. He would have to average 140 to 150 hits a season for the next 6 seasons. Difficult, but i think he can do it.

Guy has played so well since he lost his "beard" and went back to his alternative lifestyle. Less pressure

I think the biggest question is, will the Yankees want him for 6 more years? I dont see Jeter going somewhere else just to chase this record, so I think the bigger question is if the Yanks will start him daily for the next 6 years.

Baseball Prospectus gives Jeter an 11 percent chance.

Jeter is signed through 2013, his option in 2014, which he'll pick up, because even though he'll be FA eligible in 2014, where the hell is he going to go?
