Perhaps it is planted somewhere with-in the Poker site/area? Since most of the guys getting the alerts have Poker Badges, and I'm getting no alerts because I haven't played Poker since last year.

I hope SBR lets us know where it was found and when it gets removed.

No, but I found my AV has been offline for a few days, with messages queued up that I had missed. So I'm a little concerned it got me.

No problem though, an expert check is already underway. I'm not going to login to anything until I'm sure I'm clear.

    Never downloaded it.

I use the forum, that's about it. Sometimes check book ratings and SBR odds but here is where I sit.

I don't know if I should be concerned that I haven't got any alerts or not. I have run separate Malware scans and found nothing.

I think when it tries to "redirect" you, is when the virus scans catches it, and blocks it.

I dont need any points as I bet REAL money hehehehe. Here is a screenshit showing that your ads are injecting hidden trojan viruses into anyo users computer that clicks a link here at your forum. I feek sorry for any user right now that visits SBR without anti-virus. Im actually in school right now as a information security major and let me tell ya you wouldnt believe the things a hacker can do when he has access to your machine. The trojan will sit in the users computer until its cleaned out or the disk is reformatted. Full reformat is the ONLY real soultion that guarantees a non infected machine.

Yeah, certainly ad related, also explains why it is intermittent for some users.

I was concerned by no alert myself :\

We may not have to go to an exploit site ourselves, the attacker could be scanning for infected computers constantly to plant stuff directly if the hole has been opened on us... then if they had a list of this site's users IPs...

But more likely it was something in an ad rotation, or the new forum software version has an unpatched exploit someone has exploited, so they won't really be targeting us that directly. Thats my guess anyway.

I read the post below from AVG Tech at their forum.

    Hello everyone,

it seems that you may have modified DNS records so you may be served with an infected script seemingly from Please proceed as follows:

    1. Let us know output of the following command (launched from command line):

    - You may either take a screenshot or copy&paste the output here.

    2. Kindly include OTL scan result to your reply.

    3. Then, manually set custom DNS servers and flush your DNS cache:
    - Press the Windows logo key and R.
    - Type ncpa.cpl and click OK.
    - Right-click your network (Internet) connection and select Properties.
    - Double-click the Internet protocol version 4 item (you may need to scroll down a bit).
    - Select the Use the following DNS server addresses: option.
    - Enter suitable DNS servers. You may use OpenDNS or Google Public DNS servers, for example.
    - Click OK to save changes.
    - Run the command line (as administrator).
    - Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
    - The DNS cache will be flushed and the issue should not occur again.

    Thank you.

Every now and then when logging into a subforum my anti-virus software alerts me not to enter the site. Also a couple of times when on SBR I got a notice that someone tried to attack my computer. Wierd stuff. I just ignore it and move on. Hopefully there are no viruses lurking in the SBR system.

Everything looks good now, didn't get any warnings logging in this morning. Ran full scans with Avast, Malwarebytes and Spybot, and everything is still squeaky clean in my PC.

    On to business as usual.

    Common SBR Anti-Virus Warnings Again!

Everything has been fine all afternoon and then beep beep beep, my AV goes off again. Same issue as the last one but being triggered by a different site

mardigrasgirlshornet.info That's a suspicious sounding name for sure. Common SBR get this stuff fixed.
