    seriously

have a batting cage installed at your home....send him to baseball academies.....i love football but i dont even know if id let my son play if I had one....**** head injuries/trauma.......darn near impossible to make it to the pro level....but maybe a free education out of it if you are lucky..... a buddy of mine went to college with a kid whos played in the major leagues for about 6 years with the reds, a's, and padres....dudes like a 4th/5th outfielder......went to a d-3 school in mass.

Apparently Matt Cain is the greatest right handed pitcher of all time according to his contract

    hey its just money right?

pretty random that he is getting paid like this. He's probably the 4th best pitcher
in his division behind Kershaw and Lincecum and Kennedy.

Reminds me of Joe Johnson. Right place, right time. Terrific money.

People dont seem to understand the concept of run support. When the giants dont score runs, its not Cains fault.

Thankfully Brian Sabean is smarter than most sbr posters who think its Cains fault when Giants hitters waltz up to the plate and ground out to the shortstop.

I wih there was no salary cap in the NFL, then teams like the Redskins would further bury themselves in bad contracts. I love when moronic teams do this.

If the Giants didn't have a horrible offense, they'd have a shot at 2 guys having 20 win seasons. Put their starters on a team like Boston, Yanks or Phillies, they'd probably be close to 80 wins

Kennedy went 21-4 last year vs Matt Cains 12-11 record... they both had the EXACT SAME ERA.

Further, Cain has already been CLUTCH in the post season. Not to mention almost 2 full seasons more MLB experience at the same age.

Cy young Candidates Clay Bucholtz?? Cmon talk about a homer lol. Clay has potential but will never be a cy young candidate, he's barely the 3rd best pitcher on his own team lol and gets about 5k's per 9 innings, lol. Clay is solid but holy cow, you are talking about Cain and Lester, and you throw in CB?? lol what a joke!!

If Cain pitched vs the Pirates more often, he would be in line for another pay raise.
