    And but for a last tenth of a second tip against a shitty Raptors squad at home, that would be 13-6. And look at the teams they've beaten without Rose -- Wash, Pho, Cle, Char, Char (again), Sac, Bos, Mia, Phi, Orl, Tor, Tor, Atl, Det. A few decent wins in there, mostly at home, but on the whole pretty crappy teams. Only 5 of those have winning records. And then there are 4 DD losses in there too in 19 games. Bulls only lost twice by DD with Rose in 34 games.

    Bulls still win games without Rose because they play such good team ball and have the best coach in the league, but over a long season they would ultimately be just marginally better than average without Rose.

    When I placed my wager earlier... 5D had it +6.5 -108. BetDSI had it with the hook at +7 -120. So I figured the extra $60 in case something shady happens... was worth it. +7 seems solid enough. But regardless... we'll see what happens.

    what other team would win at .737 without their best player? no one.

    their winning % without rose is nearly equal to the heat's!

    they are slightly better with rose but an mvp should be the difference between lottery team and championship calibre not slightly better. if kobe was out, lakers would be a .500 team.

    plus it was rose shooting miserable 25% fg (4th qt) vs heat in the playoffs which cost them the finals last season.

    None. Because the Bulls are the best team. Not clear how that takes away from what Rose does. At their peak, the Bulls probably would have been pretty without MJ too. Didn't take away from MJ's greatness. The BEST team should still be good without their best player.

    Plus, like I said, small sample, against a bunch of bad teams. Bulls would not win .737 over a full season (60-22) w/o Rose.

    Rose is important but this team is well coached an plays great team defense

    regarding the With Rose, Without Rose issue...

    I think the Bulls are a system team built for the regular season.... they'd win with or without Rose in the regular season. Same could be said of the Pippen-led Bulls if (Jordan was not there)

    but both Teams would suffer greatly without their stars in the playoffs. That's where Star Power can really lift a team...
