    i think cbs fired gus before he went to fox. what i remember reading was he rubbed the executives the wrong way and they love jim nantz. my own interpretation is he was become a fan favorite. people were questioning why nantz was calling the final four and not gus johnson. they had to get rid of him before he caused problems to the executives love child, jim nantz.
