i mostly sell covered calls and out of the money puts

it's been really good to me

for example, buy 1000 shares of ebay at 35.90
    sell 10 calls april 37 for .83

that gets your cost down to around 35 and gives you a 2.4% return/month (29%/year)

only do it with stocks you were going to buy anyway. then if ebay goes to 40 you get called away and sell the 37 puts, keep grinding away money month after month.
    sell

Its ok...need about 1k in an account like E-Trade or TD Ameritrade
Small stakes but you know your max loss alread

Hey Son do what I do go get an account at a Forex Broker..very little paper work and can fund with a CC and the respected ones are very safe like Alpari...Forextrading.com....get a micro account and you can trade away for like $500 or even less

Many of these forex pairs are just like trading Indices as they mimic them and also you can trade spot gold

Also the action factor.................Sunday Night 6PM until Friday afternoon 5PM EST..........tight spreads and most liquid markets in the world

This thread will soon be followed by "Im broke...options trading is a scam!"

If you want to make some investment bankers richer that make a fortune off the vig between the buying/selling of options that have nearly no chance of giving their investors profits (as the value is fighting against time so stock goes up while time goes down and the price still remains unchanged, it also has to move significantly just to break even over the vig) then good luck to you. The option prices are calculated by computers which you cant find its mistakes and outcalculate no matter how smart you think you are and the stock market is a rigged game run by rich ppl anyway with access to all the key information that makes them millions that you have no clue about. Do you happen to golf with the CEOs of many companies? If so then buy 10 mil of March puts (with around 2 weeks to expiration) on Bear Stearns a week before the crash on a uh "hunch" that it will instantly collapse and get rich. The average folk like to try it every once in awhile with the info they get on yahoo financial or just flat out gamble that some stock is going to instantly go through the roof or tank in order to brag about how much they're making investing in the market or buy mutual funds or some other retirement investment that ends up tanking bc of some scam that somehow nobody knew about which wipes out their entire investment while rich investors were buying billions of puts on "hunches" at the time and adding on to their mansions.

If you're in the 1%, ask your golf buddy at Bear Stearns for some investment advice and invest in the market...if not RUN

Suckers like this donate their joke paychecks to the elite as they try to outsmart a rigged game with the info they got from some online newsletter they pay 20 bucks a month for and watch their 401k cut in half in a year while the elite double their wealth by knowing information that the sucker has no access too

Don't play with options if you don't have several years of trading experience.
