If you count mid-major/major including seed lines 1-3 the number becomes, 28 out of 32 non-play in game matchups between either major conference teams and other major conference teams and major conference teams and mid-majors.
So basically people in this thread think its some great conspiracy that there are 4 games between mid-major schools, Witchita/VCU, Memphis/SLU, NM/LBSU, and Murray State/Colorado State? Nevermind the fact that two of those mid-majors are 12 seeds and another is an 11.
So to summarize, there are 3 matchups that are major conference/major conference, and 4 matchups that are mid-major/mid-major, the rest are major conference/mid-major, yet those mid-majors really get screwed having to play each other all the time.
