you cant claim pac 12 is true power conference... maybe 8th best conference over-all and as for wash being regular season champs it was mainly due to a favorable schedule... they played some teams only once including cal who beat them at home and were what a game back in conference... simply put win or go home

I'm saying they played Purdue to a one point game, I am not saying they beat them.

Iona would hang a 91 spot on Drexel.
Hell, even Sagarin has Iona a favorite over Drexel on a neutral court.

Iona's a good team. I'm not disputing that.

I'm just saying this particular play-in game should be Seton Hall vs. Drexel, not Iona vs. BYU, as far as I'm concerned.

    Your turn.
OK, nocoin asked about their many wins over top 100 teams, and you respond with a one point loss to Purdue, leading to what he said:

A one-point loss to Purdue = win? What?
He was asking Zeta about their "many wins" over top 100 teams.

You replied with a game they lost.

Drexel doesn't have an answer for Glover, he's a 6'7" beast, rips almost 10 boards a game and averages almost 20.
And Machado is one of the better scoring guards in any conference, mid-major or otherwise.

Don't give me that pharmacy school out of Philly is better.

One flaw, he will throw the ball away every now and then, but he's not really a PG

Why all this noise about Iona getting in? The outrage this year is WVU getting in followed by Seton Hall and I am a Big East fan! Big East should not have had more than 7 this year and BE haters should really go after commitee and NCAA politicos. UCOnn and USF lucky to be in as well... same goes for BYU and Cal who was picked to take Pac10. Iona and Drexel should def be in.

Why are people arguing whether Iona would beat Drexel? That has nothing to do with anything. Drexel should be in.

If your betting on the games why does it matter if Iona got in. I'm just hoping i can make some money through this tournament. My favorite team/s are the ones i bet on.

    Five wins (5-1) v. 51-100 teams.

    Iona is 0-2 v. teams 1-50
    5-1 v. teams 51-100
    6-2 v. teams 101-150

    Drexel is 1-1 v. teams, 1-50

That's it, that's the only mother freaking case you can make for Drexel.
The only one, Iona is 0-2 v. teams ranked 1-50, where Drexel is 1-1

Break it down further though, Drexel is 3-2 v. teams 51-100, where as Iona is 5-1.
Go deeper, Drexel is 4-2 v. teams 101-150, Iona is 6-2

Iona has played the tougher schedule, Iona has the better RPI, Iona played the much tougher out of conference schedule. etc.etc.etc.
Like I said, the only point you can make for Drexel is they beat a team ranked in the top 50.

Like no coin said earlier, Drexel won the CAA. A much tougher conference obviously then the MAAC.

    Iona has no impressive wins.

Clearly your an Iona fan and that's why your arguing, I'm assuming everyone arguing for Drexel isn't a fan of either side.

I'm logging off for the night, I spent 13 hours IPL'ing mainframes in a data center (freaking time change) and my brain is fried right now.

The OP is a good poster, it's all good, I just think he's wrong here, but I hope he makes a million this tournament.
    I hope you all do.

no one has a legit gripe who didnt get in. drexel outa conference SOS is terrible, the committee said it themselves. in my mind it was a shit sandwich at the bottom and byu n iona were the turds who crept thru, this is the first year EVER where i cant look at any team and say yea they should be there for sure and they arent.

Now if you want to argue Drexel should be in instead of Vermont, you might have a case.
