Knicks should give Baron Davis major minutes

The Lin hysteria has died down and jeremy need's to learn from a veteran. If Davis get's playing time, he's a legitimate threat.

I also think that Carmelo (in his mind) has to be the man or he'll give the Knicks nothing like he did last night. Anthony and Stoudemire can't co-exist. This team has some good players but these two players are cut from the same cloth. It's killing them. D'antoni is a really awful coach. Remember when the Knicks had Larry Brown with Isiah Thomas? Larry Brown would be great to have right now. Poor timing.

Would love to see Jeremy Lin be taught by Steve Nash. They're very similar but Nash can shoot better and is more polished

    Knicks are done

Davis is too old to get it done..cannot shoot, ect

Anthony is a loser he proves it every year

Knicks need to go back to the young team and Trade Anthony and Stoudemire

if it's a battle between melo and d'antoni, d'antoni has no chance. management will never admit they made a mistake trading for melo.

very valid point. Knicks wish that they never traded for Melo. The trade was a big flop. They gave away some nice talent for Melo plus it's screwed up Amare's game and flow. He was MVP caliber last season

knicks should give that rookie kid harrelson from kentucky major minutes, him and shumpert shut dallas down for a little while last night. but d'antoni not too interested in defense i guess.

Baron Davis can be a spark but he needs to stop trying to do way too much.....He turns the ball over probably even more than Lin when you average it out by minutes played

Davis has been a better defender and pickin guys up earlier when they come up the floor. Lin seems scared and relieved when he gets a pick set on him. But, Davis is -200 to be hurt in the playoffs IMO.

Baron would be a temporary answer. Lin's defense is awful and he's turnover prone and so out of control when opposing defenses figure him out

might not be a bad idea to start davis and let lin to play more with 2nd unit. but honestly melo's game just throws everybody off, even he tries to change his style. lose/lose for knicks.

Amare need's to be set up and work off the pick and roll. Melo does throw everyone off by the need to create his own shot

Lin will be a good player, but likely will not live up to the Linsanity level. Other PGs I think who had similar breakout performance out of bench from unknown status are Devin Harris of Dallas against Spurs in playoff, JJ Barea of Dallas in playoff against Lakers, and Goran Dragic of Suns in playoff against Spurs. Going forward, I would think Lin will be more or less on their level.

Davis is better on one on one D but Lin sometimes hustle to double team or just small hand intervention that will create turnover or miss basket and that what I like about him. Working hard and energetic on the court. Physically wise Baron is the man. I'll say give Davis couple of game to start and see how it goes. It may actually be better for the Knicks as Lin will come off the bench fresh and close up the game.

the knicks have the wrong pieces put together
lin shud be on the floor with novak and amare
davis needs to be on the floor with melo and novak
melo + amare + lin all clog the middle and get in each others way

He got completely owned by Tony Parker.

You didn't even watch the game, Paul, did you? Lin was not defending Parker for most the game, it was Shumpert.

But I agree that this lineup is not working. D'Ant. should try playing Davis with Melo in the starting unit, because this losing streak is telling that the original plan is not panning out. I wouldn't play Davis major minutes yet though because he's not fully healthy and can re-injure himself.

    Lin played well actually

    Watch the games

The problem is Anthony..as soon as he came back to team did not gel anymore

A lot of people in NY want him benched and let Lin do his thing and get entire team involved like before

Sorry jj, that is not going to happen. Anthony is a problem, but gosh Amare is a bigger problem. His defense is horrific. The coach needs to somehow split up Amare and Anthony so the Knicks still have a decent defensive setup throughout the game.

Dumbtoni only knows offense. Why in the world that every team has employed the hard trap strategy against your PG to disrupt your stabled offense, but you don't do anything against the other team's best player in PG. Parker is my favorite player. His finish in the paint is ridiculous, not just this game against Knicks, but has been playing like this forever. To let him run loose got to be the coach's biggest mistake.
