Their GM has a history of doing crazy unpredictable things.....Robert Griffin (trade up) and Peyton Manning are in play......other than that, not much else to do at QB

Sanchez has had great postseason success but didn't play well late last season......this is likely make or break if they stick with him this season

Yeah we need a new right tackle, Atleast 1 good safety and maybe 2.....need a #2 WR (probably Braylon again which would be nice)......live or die with Sanchez unless we can get Peyton or rg3

Sanchez is a bum. Would anyone be talking about him if he wasn't in the New York market?

    No.

He plays well in big games and played great in the playoffs so far.....He's definitely just inexperienced and a young QB still learning

Sanchez only started one full year in college and came out early......still 24 or 25 years old.......you don't give up on him unless you can significantly improve the QB position

Guy is young give him a better offensive scheme and talent around him. Jets' defense has been horrible too since Rex's first year.

Gotta play well on defense to have a shot at a Super Bowl.

That's a fair assessment right there - except that it wouldn't make Tannenbaum look so great after all.

The Vlad Ducasse is one of the most inexcusable busts in Jet history, which says something. (D-Rob was another one that escapes scrutiny ... meanwhile they try and kill the Jets for drafting V. Ghoulston, who was a bona fide beast in college)

Also ... was Ray Lewis as a Jet ever feasible?

media blows him b/c of Spanish surname. that's all there is.

I'm not a Flacco fan, but put Flacco on the Jets and they'd be a lot better in so many ways.

All I'm sayin is the book isn't closed yet on Mark Sanchez.....he only started 1 year in college and was immediately starting in NY the next season

Most QB's play 3 or 4 years in college and then sit for 1 or 2 years and then they start in the NFL......Huge difference

He's been very inconsistent, but last season the Jets had a lot of problems they didn't have in Mark's first 2 seasons.....He played shitty but so did the rest of the team

Either way, Sanchez has had a lot of comeback wins and has awesome playoff numbers.......Yes, the defense was very good but he still has kicked ass in the playoffs in his career

We will see how it goes this season in an offense that will fit Sanchez better......Any Jets fan will tell you how horrible Schottenheimer was

It took 3 years for most Jet fans to realize what the rest of the league does - that Sanchez sucks.

Sanchez doesn't scare defenses any more than Blaine Gabbert does - yet Gabbert can at least claim inexperience.

    Not that simple.....

Jets can go after Peyton or rg3......other than that it's worth it to stick with Sanchez one more year.....some veteran scrub won't help

only a Mexican would eat a hot dog during a professional football game, lol

Mexican qb's just can't do it... Romo, Sanchez... and o/c they are very watered down... hence they are taller and have majority Euro genes, but it's that Mayan element that does not allow them to get it done

    just the facts

guys these QBs shouldnt even be playing at the ages they are. Look at how awesome Rodgers was after sitting on the bench for his first years and taking it all in. Now you are expected to not only play your rookie year, but start and carry a team. Its retarded.

People were ready to run Matthew Stafford off and he played well last season.

Guys wait until these guys are at least Cutler and Rodgers age.

Cutler is a born loser. Sanchez is a born non-winner.

You can give them all the years they need and the outcome will be the same.

    Wtf is a born non-winner??

Sanchez won the rose bowl his only year starting in college and was a game away from taking his team to the Super Bowl 2 out of his first 3 years in the NFL

He's pretty much an inconsistent mediocre QB that plays well in big spots for the most part at this point.....born "non-winner"?? No

Yes, absolutely. Hey, Kenny Smith is a championship caliber player, right?

uhhhhhhh, **** NO!!! He just happened to be on the team. You could throw in 100 other NBA guards for the Rockets and they still would have won rings. That's how it works. Sanchez played at a powerhouse in USC... the water raised his boat. Now he's on a good team with a good coach.... AND THE JETS WIN IN SPITE OF HIM!!! Got that? Everybody in the league knows Sanchez is a game manager. It's not even debatable. In interviews his teammates say things like "we count on Sanchez to not lose the game for us"... that's how much they believe in him. It's like Joe Montana.... they would say, "Oh yeah, Montana/Brady/Manning, he's going to carry our team. He's our leader and one of the best in history.... etc, etc"

Cutler is a born loser. His attitude, demeanor, the way he prepares, everything he does... he's a hamburger. The good news is that he was born 6'3", 230 with a cannon for an arm.

Sanchez has a solid attitude, he tries, he prepares.... but he is not a winner. He does all the work to be a winner at QB for he Jets, but he simply is not a winning quarterback. So he is a born non-winner. The attitude, the preparation... but w/o the talent and the natural-born "it" qualities that get it done.

Drop your Jets fanclub membership at the door. I'm just calling it like it is. Sanchez is what he is.

btw, there is a distinction between a born loser and a born non-winner

    that's Cutler vs. Sanchez

Sanchez outplayed Brady, Manning, Rivers, etc in those playoff wins.....Fact

Sanchez can still get better and the Jets can win with him behind center......it has been proven already

I'm not a huge Sanchez fan-boy.....just call it like I see it.......He makes some great plays and has games where he looks awesome and he has other games where he looks absolutely awful and clueless......Jets invested big in Sanchez so unless Peyton comes they need to ride out Sanchez until they know for sure if he is the future or not
