    Using Internet in Vegas Sportsbooks?

Fellas, going to Las Vegas for the NCAA tourney. Would love to know if there are any books that allow you to be researching on the internet either inside or just outside the book?

I called the LVH and the lady who answered basically laughed in my face for even considering it might be an option. So I am getting the feeling that nowhere allows this ...

At Planet Hollywood there is a Starbucks with WIFI very close to the book. Look for spots like that.

I just researched from my phone right outside caesars sportsbook... and no one said anything to me... I guess you must be referring to your laptop? That's a no no.

Just use your phone or do your research in your room if you are betting in the same casino/hotel

Can't see what they can really do about it if you are outside the sportsbook... Get a broadband wifi card (cricket has one you get for without a contract)...

You can use smart phones at books. Never noticed anyone using a laptop.

I've seen some guys set up with laptops on the round tables behind the seats in the LVH (Which to me, is in the book). Not sure if they were hooked up to a wireless provider or not.

I use my smart phone in books all the time. Ever since they dropped the rule about cell phone use in the books, they don't sweat anyone with a phone in their hand. They just don't want you on it at the ticket window.

It was 5 years back, but I got 'shoo'd away' using a cellphone near a book. Hope it's changed. It was stupid, was talking with a family member about nothing related to sports. I almost refuse to punt in vegas... Way too much juice and crap lines, unless a good dog comes up, which I live for.

I went last month and used my smartphone for research and score tracking at a bunch of places and nobody said a thing. Wynn, Pallazo, Caesars, Bellagio, Luxor, Rio, and Aria.

You can use a laptop at most books I think. Have seen dudes in the Hilton using a laptop in the little "fan cave" or whatever it is called. I used my Laptop at the Venetian a couple months ago. The Venetian even has (had?) free wi-fi. The times have definitely changed. You can use your laptop or phone or whatever in most sportsbooks these days

Times have changed my friend. You are quoting what was 5 years ago. It's different now. Some of the best lines, period, can be found in Vegas. Especially if you also have the ability to bet offshore.
