A year and a half ago, I spent quite a bit of time with a few LEOs from a pretty bad area, and they said it is really grimy out there. The older ones said it has gotten exponentially worse the last twenty years as they are two and three generations deep in fatherless children. The cops treat blacks worse the whites. I really not sure if it deals with race. I think it has to do with color.....blue. The reason they aren't as crazy with whites is because they aren't sure who the white people know.They could lose their jobs at the worse or get suspended. Or get sent to desk duty. And when we say "all lives matter", we say it because any whites born after 1975 have seen nothing but society walking on eggshells around blacks while they had access to jobs through affirmative action, and scholarships, etc that we middle class white don't have access to. White people get killed by police too. CNN had a stat yesterday that showed basically 20% of the police killings over the last year were against blacks.
And every single instance of a black being killed by a cop--mirror the circumstance with a white person instead and it is likely they would have been shot just the same.
It is fukking racist. I grew up in an area where it was at least 50/50 white and black and blacks were far more racist than whites.
