I like the rays, but also the under. Koehler has been pitching very well as of late. Also, they are coming off a night game. I believe the effort is low today and the score as well. However, bol!

I think Rays and Over are legitimately good plays, I would have played those if they were night games too.

Not really, the guy was very lucky his last two starts, he had five walks vs. four strikeouts each time yet somehow escaped damage. His xFIP is over 5.00, both my Rays play and Over play are heavily based on Koehler's regression.

As long as Koehler isn't walking, he's more than adequate

His era in his last 3 starts is 1.83. Compared to his overall era, thats progression.

I agree here. I have TB winning by about a run an a half, translating to value at both the opener and the current levels.
I also have a total of nearly 9.5, giving a signal on the OVER.
We are currently seeing a hefty amount of tickets on both TB and the Over, including line and price movement towards those two.
Most bettors like TB but I can see a few forecasts that produce totals between 7 and 8.5, giving a little more of a split on the total bets.
As far as the morning goes, I don't generally like this type of game winner alignment so early in the day, as it becomes a "parlay killer." That said, we are seeing value on the TB side with an hour to go until game time.

Means nothing when he had 12 walks vs. 16 strikeouts in 19.2 innings in those starts. That is why ERA is usually a useless stat.
Looking at his year-to-date, he has a 4.71 ERA, 4.44 FIP and 5.23 xFIP, so the 4.71 overall ERA seems like the better gauge of his true ability than the last three starts. But frankly, you'd be better off not even looking at ERA and just using peripheral stats.
Perfect example is David Price, he has a 5.53 ERA and my model rates him as around the sixth best pitcher in baseball right now.

Seems we agree, my model has 9.3 total.

The Rays not scoring as much as they should have vs. Koehler could ruin the Over. But I would take the split as long as they hold on to win.
