The "deficit" is the difference between spending and income... so by raising taxes you raise income and make the deficit smaller... (assuming you don't raise spending as well) Originally Posted by CarpeDime

Well, they have bought into the tired old line of "they are the job creators". I owned a business and no amount of tax breaks were gonna get me new customers. Money in peoples pockets were gonna get me the customers. This the eno-con thinkers haveyet to figure out. The economy starts to improved when the greedy start complaining because they are to greedy to realize that their smashing of the middle class creates this mess. Walmart starting giving shit to the oil companies about six months ago and gas prices starting to decline. Operation run Obama out of town is now underway tho with the gas prices getting ready to hit all time highs. The economy started showing a little life so the oil companies are gonna put a halt to that.
