What's the highest balance you've ever racked up at SIA and not been booted?

    Can anyone say over 30k?

    Curious

Conventional wisdom was that 20k in winnings = booted

I am aware of someone with much higher than that and not shown the door

I can't. Won a little over 20k in an account about 6 yrs ago that started about 7k in the hole. The avg for the 9 or so accounts I went thru was about 12k. This was all 6-8 yrs ago ftr, I haven't played there since then as I've pretty much done away with all post up business for obvious reasons.

I know people that have won in excess of $30K. You have to hit them hard and fast and run good.

My info about SIA's policies is several years out of date so things may have changed in the interim, but in years past, it seemed as if they did their audits a few times a year and any account over the "magic amount" at the time of the audit got the boot, rather than the account immediately getting the boot once it passed the "magic amount." They will take $1100 on various markets, so if you ran hot betting the max it would seem to be possible to pass 30k before the audit.

This bettor won 20k fairly slowly from July-December, and just added another 25 to that in January/February alone. Always max betting. Still has max limits. I guess he was under the 'magic number' July-Dec and just hit them hard and fast.

I can't believe he hasn't been given the boot, but maybe skrtelfan's description is correct.

I told him to keep pounding them as hard as he can as he probably has only a few weeks left at max limits.

I won about 10k. My dad won around 15k and my sister is currently up 12k!

As far as I can tell there are no hard rules. I've seen accounts with no winnings limited.

My post was made in jest but Justin7 getting mad at me would be somewhat ironic based on his own SIA history.

lol I was just thinking about this since my account just hit 5 figures winning about 17 out of 20 bets (lots of limit bets and superbowl props).

All the power to someone who gets beards and bonus whores. Easy 6 figures a year there.

But boy does he act like a WHITE KNIGHT now, and explicitly attacks these 'fraudsters'.

the square action they cater to must have been cut huge since they left the US

so why do they still offer these square lines across the board for US events when they should get hammered by anyone with a remote clue

is there the international square who bets lakeshow at any number?

Their NBA lines are less square than their NHL lines. Makes sense if they're catering more to Canadians now.

depends. If you let it roll and dont take any withdrawals you might get to 20K. I cant remember what I took out of it. I think I played there 8 months before I was asked to leave. I had taken a few withdrawals and my balance was over 10K when I got booted. But that was back in 01 probably, maybe even 2000.

Regardless they have never ever stiffed anyone, which is quite an accomplishment.

They were a must have out for 'casual' players and guys just looking to have some fun as it would take a 50 dollar bettor a long long time to accumulate enough money/profit to get past the point where they ask you to leave.

The great irony is they used to take fairly large bet sizes back then. So they gave people the opportunity to not only win but also lose. But since no one ever lost there (no bettors on the net lose anyway) there is no way of knowing how they tabulate how they ask people to leave. As in if a guy loses 20K then reolads and builds up to say a 15K balance (still 5k overall loser) would he be asked to leave? Like I said in 12 or more years I never heard of anyone ever losing a dime to them, so who knows.

They bury their square bettors no doubt. I suspect they don't mind the sharp play up to a point as it helps them balance. Often if you look at their % 75% will be on the retarded juiced side.

Yes I think sending a wd request will make them evaluate your acct immediately so I believe it is prudent not to wd until you get booted/limited

Would your sister and dad use the same method of deposit/withdrawal that you used? ie. same MB's account, or InstaD?

Or did you recommend to them to use different methods of payment to not get flagged?

It was all from the same MB account and at first they had some problems with my dad's ID but we got it sorted in the end.

I've got a friend who has 10% normal limits as a deposit-only customer.

Another guy was banned after winning 2K betting $50/game. All major markets too.

Absolutely no tolerance for anyone with a brain at this shop.

Boys dont make the same mistake i did there. Ran total up, went to withdrawal using verificiation documentation only for them to tell me that the papers werent accepted...Thing is those same papers had been accepted at 5 other books previous to this within 2 weeks on requesting withdrawal at SIA...

If you win they will have a tendency of giving you the runaround imo....
