    Patriots have a big problem...

Brady is 0-13 in his past two Super Bowls of passes over 20 yards. The last game he had Moss so it isn't all about the WR.
Tom Brady was 0-5 when passing more than 20 yards downfield vs the New York football Giants
7 TDs and 7 picks in the playoffs since they got caught cheating.

His career is a joke without video tapes.

Tom Brady placed a football in both hands of his receiver. At that point it's no longer his problem. Welker makes that catch 99% of the time. Sure, the pass could have been better but all things considered it isn't a pass that should be dropped by any above-average NFL WR.

im a lifelong pats fan/season ticket holder....you can go back and look...but ive always maintained this and said it will be their down this year as it was last year....look at who their receivers are outside of the hashmarks......deion branch is not a starting nfl caliber wr in the nfl....chad johnson was not able to fully pick up on this offense(much like joey galloway wasnt able to).....they dont have guys on the outside who can get open against single man coverage....branch can get open here and there...just not consistently enough....but hes probably the smartest receiver they have in terms of knowing what hes doing ...hes just not physically capable anymore....

welker had a 195 targets this year....only 28 of them were what could be deemed as the "vertical" variety.....they dont have a guy on the outside that can make plays....and i knew it would come back to hurt them at some point

Just to preempt the "everybody does it now" defense, now they mike an MLB's helmet like a QB to prevent this kind of cheating from occurring.

i think brady banged the op's mom. always bitching about brady and spygate. you can know what play is coming but you still have to stop it. the year the spygate story broke loose the pats went undefeated in regular season. they dominated teams and fell apart in super bowl. did they get an advantage through taping? possibly. did every other team do the same stuff? likely. it is all about effort and talent. pats played harder than most teams and maximized their talent. they had no business being in super bowl this season with their glaring weaknesses yet still made it. give credit where it is due. brady is a great qb and still has 3 or 4 hall of fame level seasons left in the tank.

undefeated regular season...11 win season with a guy who hadnt started a football game in years at qb...home playoff game in bradys 1st season back from a major injury...two number 1 afc seeds and a superbowl appearance since the joke that was "spygate".....get a grip

the giants are out there with guys like nicks and manningham on the oustide who can make plays....against guys who covering them that are defying the odds just being on the field in the nfl....meanwhile brady has deion branch out there trying to get open against guys like webster and ross who are 1st/2nd round talents....not to mention one of bradys best weapons was basically useless......and his most reliable guy dropped a ball that probably would have sealed the deal

Bradshaw 4 and 0 in the big game also.... bobby wouldn't the fact that the pats went 11 and 5 without brady point to a system quarterback who is overrated?

what exactly is the system? define the system for me please....brady went from a game manager earlier on in his career to a guy that can pretty much carry a team with his arm...one of the more prolific passers the game has ever seen....a guy a team builds around....i dont care what cassell did....if you think you are plugging anyone in there and they are winning like have done for the last decade i say you are nuts

listen...if the patriots had beaten the giants in 07 and on sunday...there would be groups of people insisting the patriots have found new ways to cheat

what their losses(yet still remain one of the most successful teams in sports) indicate is that theyve simply been a little unlucky the last two times around....

we all know what we saw in 07....but lets take the giants this year for example...romo misses a wide open miles austin on a 3rd and 1 that ends the giants....ginn is hurt and a backup punt returner ***** a game up royaly for the 9ers....bradshaws clear fumble has the whistle blown before hes down against the 9ers....couple of dropped picks by the 9ers.....gronk gets his ankle rolled and is ineffective in the superbowl after beasting the gmen in the regular season.....welker drops a wide open ball that could have sealed it....giants have 5 fumbles in the two superbowls and recover them all

simply put...the patriots have been unlucky in their last two trips....both teams are very good football teams...and it doesnt take anything away from how good this patriots franchise is.....

I honestly don't think anybody's done more with less on offense than brady has. He's been playing with jv receivers his whole career (outside of Randy Moss). Hasn't really had a top tier running back either. (Corey Dillion past his prime, Maroney, The law firm)

I was just a kid when Bradshaw played but he was never 1/2 the player that Brady is. As great as Montana was....he never had to carry a #31 ranked defense like Brady or teams with soft lines on both sides of the ball like the Colts. Combine Brady w/a top 10 D like they used to have and they would still dominate. If the Colts could've held Brady to 15 ppg like the Giants did then Peyton prob has 4-5 rings. Its a team game which most everyone likes to conveniently forget!

the thing is....with this loss..i totally blame the offense....if you told me the d was going to hold the giants to 13 points through 3 and 3/4 quarters id say we should be good to go....they bent....and it may have cost us in the field position game....cause we never forced a 3 and out...and the giants had alot of 9-10 play drives....but the d did their thing and kept points off the board

the offense failed to score the points we needed to win this game....as good as they are....gronk was pretty useless...probably shouldnt have even been playing....after that its welker and hernandez.....they dont have a guy on the outside who can consistently beat man coverage...and im not talking about just vertically and stretching the field...im talking about a guy who can create seperation and find the spots....branch is just to worn down physically from being old and injuries...to beat good, athletic, corners.....

First off your the one who mentioned the 11 wins with cassell..there is no way to say one way or another how the would be if they had a different qb back there... in regards to the cheating an spy gate... their is no way around it... 0 and 2 since they won... and who knows the first 3 super bowls a)maybe have never happened with out it and b) could of been loses without spy gate.... as far as luck brady is the luckiest player in the nfl... drew bledsoe doesn't get hurt their is no tom brady for that first year...tuck rule anybody? add to that the nfl changed roughing the passer cause of him... every team every year has to be lucky... just look at the packers last year.. needed 2 miracles to get in and got them both...

In football you can't compare eras... a completion percentage of 50% in the 70s and before was good.. now you wouldn't sniff the field... now the short passing game makes qb have higher pecentages years ago they didn't do that... in regards to both super bowls for the pats that they lost... was like bobby said cause of the offense... the game today is designed for scoring and they werent able to do that

its helped brady that he has been behind a o line where he hardly gets touched cause he if he didn't he wouldn't be in the league anymore... imagine brady on the bears or steelers or packers... goodness that would be bad

the Broncos also got caught "cheating" in 2010 for filming the 49ers... Jimmy Johnson also said he was taught to film teams, but he never say any benefit from it. Almost all the teams in the NFL have filmed other teams and if you don't think that you are plain stupid. Bill just knew what to do with the film, and then some little dumb fukk got mad and got fired and ran to the NFL.
