last time I dealt with my "local" was the 2011 giant's superbowl win......

he fell off the face of the planet after the giants won, obviously burying him.....

a mex. mafia dude who he also owed ten k put a contract out on him.... after I bailed him out of that mess and was paid -- i got the contract on him removed due to some other business dealings and concessions -- he moved to austin and haven't heard from him since other than when he tried to contact me for permission to get back into business in Htown. I ignored him......

it was a wild time; i quit all that stupid shit once I met my current wife, got married, and moved out of the Bayou Lofts and into the burbs.....

still owed about 20k for cleaning up messes made by dumb fuk associates.....

I've written it off rather than ever having to worry about looking over my shoulder

now I just play a little poker on rare occasions at a few underground rooms when the prize pool is large enough to justify the time spent

ps... as for the movie deal comment; ive been told I should do that at least three-dozen times, usually based on my experiences in the "lifestyle" -- add in the other shit, it really gets off the chain
